ABOUT EVERLONG
Everlong is a fast-growing healthcare startup providing virtual nutrition counseling delivered by behavior-changing Registered Dietitians, covered by insurance. 100% of our patients pay $0 with insurance, removing one of the biggest barriers to accessing quality nutrition care.
What sets Everlong apart is our approach. Most nutrition services focus on what to eat. We focus on why people eat the way they do. Our dietitians are trained to address the emotional, psychological, and behavioral drivers of eating using evidence-based methods including motivational interviewing, CBT, and accountability frameworks to help patients build sustainable habits and a healthier relationship with food. We don't hand patients a meal plan and send them on their way. We help them understand their patterns, shift their thinking, and create lasting change that extends well beyond the session.
Our dietitians provide Medical Nutrition Therapy across a wide range of conditions, including disordered eating and chronic dieting, weight management, diabetes, cardiovascular health, gastrointestinal conditions, and nutrition support for patients on GLP-1 medications. Every care plan is built around the individual, their life, their barriers, and the behavioral and emotional factors that have gotten in the way before.
We operate with a lean, high-performing team and a proven foundation. Our primary growth channel is provider referral partnerships, and we are now seeking a driven, field-first leader to fully own and scale this function. The culture here is fast-paced and outcomes-driven, grounded in clarity, accountability, and a shared commitment to helping patients create lasting change.
THE ROLE
We're looking for a field-seasoned, high-output provider partnerships professional who is currently in the trenches and ready to step into a leadership role they've earned. This is not a 'manage from a distance' job and it's not a purely IC role either. It's both, in the right sequence. You'll be the person who builds out and scales Everlong's provider network, owning the territory, proving the playbook, and then scaling it by hiring and developing a team beneath you. As that team grows, you'll evolve into a full regional manager.
The path from individual contributor to leader isn't handed to you here; you build it yourself by doing the work first. This is a role for someone who genuinely loves being in the field, has a track record to back it up, and is hungry for the next chapter: more scope, more upside, and the chance to build something that didn't exist before they showed up.
PHASE 1 (MONTHS 1-3): IC EXCELLENCE
You'll own your territory end-to-end, in the field 4-5 days per week, proving what great looks like before asking others to do it. Within 4-6 months you'll be ready to bring on your first hire.
- Field Engagement: 4-5 days per week meeting with primary care physicians, specialists, medical assistants, and office managers in your territory.
- Prospecting: Research, identify, and pursue new provider partner leads.
- Converting & Nurturing: Build trust to turn leads into active referral partners, developing relationships across the full office, not just the physician.
- Building the Playbook: Document everything. Maintain CRM hygiene and establish the metrics and best practices your future team will run on.
PHASE 2 (MONTHS 4-6+): PLAYER-COACH & REGIONAL BUILD
Once you've proven the model, you'll hire your first PPM and move into a player-coach role, staying active in your own territory while coaching your team on the playbook you built. You'll grow into a full regional manager as the team scales.
- Build the Team: Hire, onboard, and develop a high-performing PPM team with clear systems and coaching cadences.
- Stay in the Field: Manage your own book while developing your team's territories, modeling the results you expect.
- Lead by Data: Run your region through dashboards and performance metrics, not intuition.
- People Leadership: Own your team's recruitment, performance management, and development, and serve as the voice of the field to leadership.
YOU'LL LOVE THIS ROLE IF
- You're currently a top-performing PPM or field sales rep with a track record that speaks for itself.
- You've been told you're ready to lead, but haven't found the right opportunity with the right upside.
- You want to build something, not inherit a finished playbook.
- You're resourceful and relentless — you find ways in, create your own opportunities, and don't wait for someone to hand you a lead.
- You're a natural relationship-builder who earns trust with physicians, MAs, and front desk staff alike.
- You're coachable and love to coach — you want to be great, and you want to help others get there too.
- You thrive with autonomy and accountability, not hand-holding.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3–5+ years of experience in a provider-facing field sales, BD, or partnerships role (pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare industry strongly preferred).
- Prior startup experience a plus — you're comfortable with ambiguity, can operate without a fully built infrastructure, and don't need a large org behind you to be effective.
- A track record of top performance
- Experience building and growing a territory independently, not just managing an inherited book.
- High EQ: you know how to read a room, adapt your approach, and build genuine relationships with busy clinicians.
- CRM proficiency and comfort with data-driven territory management.
- Prior experience mentoring or informally leading peers is a plus, but what matters most is that you want to grow into it.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- First 30 days: You've mapped the territory, established your prospecting rhythm, and begun working in the field.
- First 60 days: You have an active, growing pipeline. You've documented what works and started shaping the playbook.
- First 90 days: By day 90, the territory has real traction and a referral engine that's built to scale.
- Months 4–6: You've proven the model and are ready to bring on your first PPM. The playbook is documented and ready to hand off.
- Month 6+: You're in player-coach mode — managing your first hire, recruiting more, and staying active in the field as the region grows.
