About the Role:
As Assistant Store Manager at Fable, you’ll be the right hand to the Store Manager and a champion for both your team and your customers. You’ll lead by example—delivering a thoughtful, elevated customer experience while helping drive sales, lead community events, and ensure smooth operations in-store. Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Experience:
- Support the Store Manager in developing and executing strategies to meet and exceed store KPIs.
- Actively engage in the customer journey—greeting, educating, and guiding guests through the world of Fable with warmth and confidence.
- Empower the team to build lasting customer relationships through storytelling, hosting, and follow-up communication.
- Use sales and product performance data to inform daily decision-making and coaching opportunities.
- Support omni-channel initiatives by helping customers navigate online-to-store experiences (e.g., in-store pickup, returns, gifting).
Leadership & Team Development:
- Coach, inspire, and lead the store team to uphold Fable’s customer experience standards and brand values.
- Assist in the hiring and onboarding process for new team members.
- Lead training sessions, support development plans, and help create a culture of feedback and learning.
- Model high performance and accountability while fostering an inclusive and uplifting team environment.
- Act as the store lead in the Store Manager’s absence.
Operations & Visual Merchandising:
- Ensure visual standards align with Fable’s aesthetic and storytelling goals, and that the store is clean, organized, and inviting.
- Support the scheduling process and help optimize labor planning to meet customer needs.
- Assist with inventory management including stock transfers, replenishment, and cycle counts.
- Own in-store event logistics—supporting community events, influencer activations, and brand moments that bring Fable to life offline.
- Report facility, safety, or maintenance issues to Remote HQ and ensure proper follow-up.
About You:
- You have 2+ years of experience in a retail leadership or keyholder role.
- You’re passionate about hospitality, design, and creating elevated customer experiences.
- You’re a natural leader—empathetic, confident, and great at building relationships with both customers and teammates.
- You’re comfortable working with sales goals and retail KPIs and enjoy using data to inform your approach.
- You thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments and are always looking for ways to improve and grow.
