About the Role:

As a Store Associate at Fable, you’ll be the heart of the in-store experience. You’ll welcome every guest like they’re entering your home, share the Fable story, and guide them in finding the perfect pieces to make their space more beautiful and intentional. You’re warm, observant, and genuinely excited about connecting with people through meaningful conversation and a love of good design.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about hospitality and storytelling, takes pride in creating visually inspiring spaces, and is energized by helping customers find joy in the everyday.

What You’ll Do:

Customer Experience & Sales:

- Greet every customer with warmth and thoughtfulness, making them feel at home in the world of Fable.

- Share the Fable story and product details in a way that’s inviting and informative—not scripted.

- Support daily and weekly sales goals by connecting authentically with customers, listening to their needs, and guiding them through product selection and styling.

- Build lasting relationships with returning customers through memorable service, follow-up, and clienteling.

- Stay knowledgeable about Fable’s product line, launches, and values, sharing information confidently and organically.

Store Environment & Operations:

- Maintain a clean, inspiring, and well-organized store that reflects the Fable brand and aesthetic.

- Support visual merchandising updates and floor sets to keep the store fresh and seasonally relevant.

- Process transactions quickly and accurately—including purchases, returns, exchanges, and pick-up orders—ensuring every customer leaves feeling cared for.

- Assist in receiving shipments, restocking, and inventory accuracy.

- Flag any product, visual, or operational issues promptly to store leadership.

Teamwork & Communication:

- Collaborate with team members to create a positive, respectful, and high-performing work environment.

- Participate in team meetings, product trainings, and ongoing learning opportunities.

- Offer feedback and insights on what’s resonating with customers and what could be improved.

- Support brand events, community activations, and store-based storytelling initiatives.

Who You Are:

- You have 1+ years of experience in a customer-facing retail, hospitality, or lifestyle role.

- You’re naturally warm and personable, with a talent for making people feel seen and welcomed.

- You’re drawn to design, lifestyle, or home goods and love sharing stories behind beautiful objects.

- You’re a great listener and communicator, able to read people’s needs and respond with thoughtfulness.

- You’re detail-oriented and take pride in a tidy, beautiful space.

- You’re flexible and collaborative, ready to jump in wherever needed.

- You’re comfortable working evenings, weekends, and retail holidays when needed.
