Position Details
The Home Care Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that individuals receive personalized and high-quality care within their own homes. This position involves overseeing the coordination and administration of home care services, focusing on meeting the needs of clients while adhering to regulatory and company standards. By managing a team of care professionals, the Home Care Manager ensures that services are delivered in a compassionate, efficient, and effective manner. This role requires a blend of administrative acumen and a deep understanding of care needs, aiming to enhance the quality of life for clients and support their independence. Through strategic planning, staff management, and client liaison, the Home Care Manager facilitates a supportive environment that respects the dignity and preferences of those in need of home-based care.
Job Duties
- Supervise Staff: Lead, supervise, and mentor the home care administrative team, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks.
- Client & Staff Documentation: Ensure all client records, staff schedules, and other relevant documentation are maintained accurately and securely. Oversee the timely processing of client forms, billing, and reports.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure that home care processes adhere to relevant healthcare regulations and company policies. Prepare and submit reports as required by regulatory bodies and management.
- Staff Training & Development: Oversee the training and professional development of the home care staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable in relevant systems, protocols, and compliance requirements.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Manage the scheduling of home care administrative staff and ensure that all shifts and department needs are covered. Provide oversight with coordination between the field staff and clients to ensure smooth operations.
- Communication: Serve as the initial point of contact for home care department queries and concerns from clients, families, and staff, ensuring effective communication and prompt resolution of issues.
- Operational Support: Provide operational support to the care team, ensuring they have the necessary administrative resources to carry out their duties. Assist with tasks like resource allocation and document management.
- Quality Assurance: Regularly review home care administrative staff workflows and performance by holding one to one meetings and ensuring staff are accountable to key performance indicators. Implement improvements and address any challenges to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Problem Solving: Resolve home care department challenges or conflicts, helping to streamline processes and ensure that day-to-day operations run smoothly.
- Other duties: Support after hours on call needs as they may arise and other duties as needed or assigned.
Education and Experience
- Associate's degree in healthcare, business, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Current HCA/CNA certification, or willingness to obtain certification within 200 days of employment
- 3-5 years of experience in Home Care
- 2 years of progressive management experience leading a team
Skills and Abilities
- Subject matter expert regarding principles, procedures, and industry best practices
- Strong technical skills with advanced user experience with all Microsoft Office applications
- Strong leadership and coaching skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Delegation skills to ensure direct reports are collaborative, competent, and engaged.
- Experience working in a performance driven environment with KPI’s
- Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaborate with different levels of employees
- It may require extended work periods at a desk and computer for up to 8 hours per day
- Valid driver’s license and willing to travel as needed for business purposes.
Compensation: Family First is committed to providing market competitive, equitable pay to all employees
$28.85-$33.65 Per hour

Hybrid work opportunities may become available upon successful completion of training/orientation periods.
Schedule:
FT- 8-hour shift Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 4:30PM
This position may be required to cover on call shifts and provide guidance after hours.
