Finch is a platform that decodes the environmental impact of products and incentivizes consumers to make better purchasing decisions. We use a machine learning algorithm to look at how products are made, how long they last, the disposal, and everything in between. We've all been shopping online, wondering if the paper towels we're about to buy are good enough quality but don't significantly contribute to deforestation. Finch allows consumers to cut through the greenwashing and save time reading academic papers to find out what really matters and shop more wisely. Finch was started in 2020 and came out of a newsletter called "Green Lizard" that ran from 2016 to 2020.
