As Senior Quality Engineer at Fintalo, you'll be our first dedicated quality hire — owning the final pass before anything reaches the institutions that run live M&A deals on our platformYou're not inheriting a QA process. You design the one everyone else follows, from test strategy to how and when tests run in our pipelineOur product owner defines the feature and the design; our engineers build it. You're the person who decides whether what got built is what was specified — and whether it holds up under loadWe ship fast and the blast radius of a bad release is large: investment banks and corporate M&A teams use Fintalo daily, not as a pilot👩🍳 Responsibilities
Own feature quality: smoke and regression testing along the ticket → development → QA → production flow, for new features and the ones that already shippedRun the deeper passes we don't cover today — performance, stress, security and accessibility — on a recurring cadenceWrite and maintain our automated test suites and extend the QA tooling we've already started buildingDecide how and when tests run in CI/CD, not just what they containReview PRDs and designs before development starts, so gaps surface at spec time instead of in reviewHold the line on design fidelity, not only functional behaviourRebuild our quality workflow as you go — we expect a good part of how we ship to change once you're here, and that's the point of the hire🧠 Qualifications
Around 5 years in QA or test engineering, ideally in a product companySolid foundations across the testing modalities — functional, regression, smoke, performance, stress, accessibility. You think in test strategy, not tool tutorialsComfortable with code. You write your own automation. Playwright, Cypress, Appium — the specific tool matters far less than the automation mindsetYou raise issues early and loudly. We want the person who calls at 9am about the bug nobody else noticedInitiative and ownership. This is a build-it-from-zero role in a startup, not a maintenance seatNice to have: a DevOps/infra mentality (pipelines, test environments), German, or exposure to M&A, investment banking or professional-services software📚 Learning and Support
You'll work directly with our CTO and the engineering team, and build a function that doesn't exist here yetWork alongside experienced mentors and serial entrepreneurs who have built and scaled products beforeYou'll learn the M&A domain from the inside, on real customer workflows with fast feedback🏆 Compensation & Work Setup
