🔎 Overview

  • You'll be our first Product Manager: you own what Fintalo builds and why, from the first customer conversation to the feature that ships
  • You'll be part of the team that works directly with the investment banks, M&A advisors and corporate teams who run live deals on Fintalo. When a customer asks for extra support on a deal, someone from that team is there, and you'll be one of them
  • You turn what you see there into product. Together with the founders and our business team, you scope new features and shape where the product goes next
  • You also own what already exists. Most of our features have AI built in, and their output needs continuous tuning to stay accurate and useful on live deals. Every feature, AI or not, needs ongoing work on the user experience. A big part of the role is this optimization, not only adding new features
  • We're building an AI-native platform with a small, fast engineering team. You decide what they build next and make sure it's exactly what our customers need
  • Building out a product team is on our roadmap over time, and as our first product hire you'll help shape it
  • 👩‍🍳 Responsibilities

  • Work with customers on their deals as part of our customer-facing team: support them when they ask for it, and see first-hand where the product helps and where it gets in the way
  • Build the customer feedback pipelines we don't have yet: interviews, usage data, in-product signals and support requests, so product decisions rest on what customers actually do
  • Scope new features and the roadmap together with the founding team and our business people
  • Write the specs and designs our engineers build from, and make sure what ships matches what customers asked for
  • Keep improving our existing features: tune the output of our AI features with customer feedback, and sharpen the user experience across the whole product
  • Find the features that underperform, figure out why, and fix them
  • Decide what we don't build. Saying no is as much part of the job as the roadmap
  • 🧠 Qualifications

  • Several years in product management or a similar product role. This is not an entry-level position
  • Ideally you've been the product person at a tech startup building an AI or SaaS product, and you know what building from zero looks like
  • Hands-on experience shipping and improving AI or LLM-based features is a strong plus
  • You genuinely enjoy working with customers: asking the uncomfortable questions, listening to honest answers, and coming back with something better
  • Strong business sense. You understand how your customers make money and can argue for a feature in their terms
  • You work closely with engineers and can cut a feature down to something that ships in weeks, not quarters
  • Fluent English is a must. German is a big plus
  • Nice to have: a background in M&A, investment banking, private equity, consulting or finance (if you're a strong product person without it, we'll teach you how deals work), and experience building or growing a team
  • 📚 Learning and Support

  • You'll work directly with the founding team and our engineers, and build a product function that doesn't exist here yet
  • Work alongside experienced mentors and serial entrepreneurs who have built and scaled products before
  • You'll learn the M&A domain from the inside, on real deals, next to the advisors and bankers who run them
  • 🏆 Compensation & Work Setup

  • We're looking for someone who wants to grow with us long term and be deeply committed to our journey
  • Beyond a fair salary, we want you to participate in the success of Fintalo
  • Our team is based in Munich and we value in-person collaboration, with a flexible hybrid setup at times. Expect to spend time on site with customers when a deal needs you. Happy to talk if you'd be moving here for the role
