Our engineering team is looking for a pet friendly, experienced, self-motivated developer to help us build our next generation web properties and web-based mobile applications for our pet health and GPS trackers.
This is a 100% remote position based in US Central Time (CST/CDT). International candidates are encouraged to apply.
How you'll improve the lives of pets and humans
Design, develop and maintain highly responsive, reusable UI components using React conceptsWrite mobile and web application interface codes using JavaScript following React.js workflowsCollaborate with our hardware / low level software engineers on HW/SW interactions and communications with external devices, databases, and third party APIsCollaborate with our design team to develop fun, easy-to-use interfacesDiagnose and debug real-time software systemsCreate and maintain technical documentationReport directly to our CTOEssential skills
3+ years of recent experience working as a React.js developerIn-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML and front-end languagesExperience with Webpack and Babel-based React applicationsExperience with Next.js and headless ecommerce / CMS frameworksKnowledge of performance testing frameworks such as Mocha and JestFamiliarity with RESTful APIs, web services, XML/JSONExperience building engaging, animated user interfacesPassion for writing clean, maintainable codeDesirable skills
Experience with React CSS transitions and Framer MotionExperience with Bluetooth, maps and web communication protocolsPrevious experience at a product company or development agencyBA, BS, or MS in related fields of applicationBonus points for
