The Role

As Head of Robotics, you’ll lead the architecture and execution of Conduit’s robotics layer — building the universal control plane for automation. You’ll own how Conduit integrates, commands, and learns from robots across every major manufacturer, from AMRs to humanoids and everything in between defining how factories of the future will work, react, and overcome.

What you'll do

• Build magical experiences to manipulate physical space via Conduit Platform

• Design rigorous data pipelines to empower the Conduit World Model

• Fine tune open-source robotics foundation models (Physical Intelligence, RT-X, OpenVLA, etc.)

• Build, lead, and mentor a team of the best robotics engineers in the world

• Work closely with CTO and Head of Data Science on roadmap

• Become the voice of the industry

• Establish partnerships with leading foundation model companies and hardware OEMs

You're

• 5+ years of experience in robotics, with production deployments in manufacturing or logistics

• Deep familiarity with robotics landscape (MCP, VLAs, foundation models etc.)

• Strong software engineering skills - Cpp, Python, ROS2

• Experience with motion planning, manipulation, and mobile robotics

• Customer-facing experience; you can translate technical capabilities into business value

Bonus Points

• Experience at early stage startups and building systems at scale

• Experience with full stack, hardware, or controls engineering

• Experience deploying fleet orchestration algorithms or multi-agent coordination

• Hands-on work with multiple commercial robot platforms

• Contributions to robotics open-source projects

• MS or PhD in Robotics, CE, CS, or related field
