About Us
Flutter Care is an award-winning health technology startup on a mission to promote safe pregnancies and improve perinatal outcomes for families. We are currently developing a novel wearable technology to detect early signs of fetal distress and reduce the rate of stillbirths globally. Our flagship product, the Flutter Care App is used by families worldwide to support safe and informed pregnancies. We’re looking for a creative, systems-thinking UX and Graphic Designer (Part-time) to bring our brand and user experience to life across digital and physical touchpoints.
The Role
As a UX and Graphic Designer, you will sit at the intersection of product design and brand communication. You’ll support the creation of user-centered interfaces for our apps, websites, and digital product experiences, while also designing visuals that align with our brand across marketing materials. Your work will directly impact how users, patients, clinicians, and caregivers engage with our technology and trust our brand.
Key Responsibilities
1) User Experience Design
- Design intuitive, inclusive, and accessible user flows for mobile and web platforms
- Translate research and clinical needs into clean, effective UI layouts
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and user interface specifications
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and clinical experts to bring features to life
- Conduct or support usability testing and iterate based on user feedback
2) Graphic and Visual Design
- Develop visual assets for digital and print (social, email, packaging, brochures, etc.)
- Maintain and evolve the visual language and design system for the brand
- Support the marketing and product teams with graphics, iconography, and data visualization
- Contribute to the development of a consistent and trustworthy brand experience across platforms
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in UX/UI design, graphic design, or digital product design
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both digital UX and visual/graphic design work
- Proficient in design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
- Experience working with design systems and component-based design
- Strong understanding of responsive and accessible design principles
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
- Excellent visual storytelling and layout skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, iterative, mission-driven environment

- Has completed training or education on or after December 1, 2022, whether at a post-secondary institute or through other recognized pathways.

Employment Details
- Proposed Start Date: August 18, 2025 (flexible)
- 4-month contract to start, with possibility of extension
- Hours Per Week: 18 hours/week (flexible)
- Location: Remote or Hybrid
- Salary: $27-$30 / hour
