Visura is a Global Platform for Visual Storytellers; a proprietary SaaS platform with a market network for Enterprises and visual storytellers to transact without a middleman. Visura is rebuilding the ecosystem for visual communication to empower the shift away from stock agencies and towards the creator economy. Visura's proprietary platform offers SaaS tools and a 2-sided market network for Enterprise Commercial Brands and Media Companies to connect, network and transact with freelancers directly--leveraging web3 solutions. Executive Summary Visual communication is a fast-growing market. By 2026, it is expected to exceed $400B. Over the next five years, that's a 60% growth. Meanwhile, the demand is for unique, authentic and in depth visual content for publishers to grow and engage audiences. And 86% of this content is outsourced to agencies and freelancers. Enterprise Commercial Brands and Media Companies are struggling to access unique, authentic and compelling visual content to engage/grow audiences. They rely on agencies, who focus on licensing recycled generic stock photos or breaking news, sports and celebrity images. Sourcing for premium content is time consuming and costly. This is because 70% of professional visual storytellers are freelancers producing premium work independently from stock agencies because they do not provide a living wage. This means that publishers are only accessing a small subset of the market's potential. Agencies are limiting; and, access to freelancers is time consuming. As the demand for unique premium visual content increases, so does the need for new ecosystems. Enterprise Commercial Brands and Media Companies need a platform to directly connect, network and transact with freelance professional visual storytellers--one that fosters authenticity, professional development and fair trade. With the creator economy on the rise, Visura is re-envisioning the infrastructure, future of work and marketplace for visual communication-leveraging web 3 solutions. Visura is a proprietary platform that offers SaaS tools and a market network for Enterprise Commercial Brands and Media Companies to directly connect, network and transact with freelance professional visual storytellers --leveraging web3 solutions. We are eliminating the middleman. The proprietary platform offers SaaS tools for Professional Visual Content Creators to manage their workflow, SaaS tools for Enterprises to manage sourcing and transacting with new talent and content, and an integrated marketplace to license and transact. We aim to empower the shift away from stock agencies and towards a creator economy. For Freelance Visual Content Creators also known as Visual Storytellers, Visura offers free accounts as well as monthly or annual memberships ranging from $5.00 /m up to $195.00 per year with access to business tools to build websites, share content, invoice, and license work directly to publishers, pitch to photo editors, and grow their audiences. Currently, over 1200 members are paying for these services. For visual editors and content buyers, Visura offers free memberships with access to business tools to search, verify, connect using a robust tagging and search ecosystem, and license content directly from creators. Members include over 300 visual editors and creative directors from The New York Times, BuzzFeed, Washington Post, TIME, CNN, National Geographic, Human Rights Watch, Patagonia, and others. For Enterprise Commercial Brands and Media Companies-- Visura offers SaaS tools starting at $1,500 per month to manage hiring talent, submissions and licensing content. Publications like The Washington Post, National Geographic, CNN, BuzzFeed and others have used the open call system, for example, to source for new talent from the existing Visura creator network to freelancers around the world. Additionally, Visura offers services like an account representative or the opportunity to pre-purchase licenses in bulk at discount. We generate revenue from every image that is licensed through the platform. What you see today is what two founders have achieved: customer discovery, prototyping, testing, organic revenue and traction, and early adopters. Visura is raising a seed round of $2.5M to drive the next 18 months. The funds will be used to expand the team and grow revenue. The focus is on data analysis, defining consistent revenue, optimizing product, and establishing a go to market strategy, plan and pricing to scale. Our next milestone is growth and going to market by building the enterprise side of the business, ad driving the networking effects within the marketplace for creators. Specifically, we have a plan to grow the creator side of the platform from $10K in MRR to $20K MRR; the entrprise side from 0 to $25,000 in MRR; and the marketplace from 0 to $150k in MRR by April 2024. The goal is to grow revenue to over $1.8M by 2025. The Visura founders have decades of combined experience working for AWS, Harper's Bazaar, Rolling Stone Magazine, The New York Times, Shutterstock, NPR, National Geographic, Estee Lauder, and UBS. Our advisors and mentors are industry experts having worked in leadership roles for Winslow Capital, National Geographic, The New Yorker, Spotify, Google, Presidio Partners, Corbis, Redux Pictures, McKinsey and BCG.
