Sales Development Representative

Job Description

As an SDR you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying potential customers interested in innovative vertical farming solutions. Your primary focus will be to generate leads, initiate contact, and nurture relationships with prospects to facilitate the sales process

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Identify and research potential leads through various channels such as industry databases, social media, networking,and other lead generation tools.

  • Outreach and Communication: Initiate contact with leads through emails, calls, and personalized messages to introduce the company’s vertical farming solutions and services.

  • Qualification: Evaluate leads to determine their potential fit and readiness for the sales process by understanding their needs, budget, and decision-making process.

  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of all interactions and lead statuses in the CRM system. Effectively manage and nurture leads through various stages of the sales funnel.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the sales team to transfer qualified leads and ensure a smooth handover for further engagement.

  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to adapt sales strategies accordingly.

  • Feedback Loop: Provide valuable insights and feedback to the marketing and product development teams based on customer interactions and market demands.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of vertical farming practices, technologies, and market trends.

  • Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to engage prospects, qualify leads, and move them through the sales funnel.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey product features and benefits.

  • Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software, lead generation tools, and other sales-related technologies.

  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving industry trends and customer needs.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or related fields preferred.

  • Proven experience in sales, lead generation, or business development roles, preferably within the agriculture or technology sectors.

  • Certifications or courses related to sales or vertical farming practices could be advantageous

Additional Information:

This role may require occasional travel for industry events, client meetings, or conferences
