Legal Operations Manager
Gamesight
Gamesight empowers the industry’s top game makers through data, technology, and experiences.
The Legal Operations team at Gamesight is looking for our Tony Stark, the genius who can build the arc reactor (automated contract systems) AND suit up to fight in the field (negotiate hundreds of redlines). This is a hybrid role where your time will be split between building systems and using them.
This is the Avengers of cross-functional roles. Sales needs deals closed fast. Creator Programs needs hundreds of talent agreements processed. Strategic Partnerships needs vendor contracts negotiated. Operations needs systems that actually work. And everyone needs someone who speaks both legal AND human.
If you thrive on cross-functional collaboration and doing a little bit of everything, this role is for you. 🎮⚡
What you'll do:
Build & Maintain Legal Infrastructure
You'll own these projects from "this is broken" to "this now runs itself" 🔧
- Identify gaps and investigate potential solutions for our contract automation, NDA processes, template management, and legal workflows.
- Own these projects from design through adoption by building the systems, project managing timelines and stakeholders, navigating resistance, and ensuring teams actually use them.
- Maintain and continuously improve by keeping templates current, systems accessible, and processes evolving with the business.
- Design and implement playbooks and frameworks that enable teams to self-serve on standard agreements while maintaining legal compliance.
Execute the Work
You'll own contracts from first contact to the finish line 🏁
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle for high-volume standard contracts such as creator agreements, vendor contracts, routine sales MSAs, and NDAs. Draft, review, redline, and negotiate within frameworks you helped create.
- Serve as first-tier legal contact for internal teams—triage legal requests by responding, completing, or escalating as needed for complex negotiations.
- Run the Deal Desk function with precision for contract accuracy, internal identification, proper approvals, and timely execution.
- Proactively manage contract renewals and coordinate with Sales, Creator Programs, and Campaign teams on kickoff calls to gather legally significant inputs for new agreements.
Who you'll work with:
- Creator Program and Campaign teams on talent agreements.
- Sales team to ensure deal terms are accurately reflected in contracts.
- Head of Strategic Partnerships on complex partnership agreements.
- Operations team on vendor contracts, employment agreements, and procurement.
- CFO and Controller on financial terms and risk assessment.
- Engineering on console/vendor integrations and workflow automation.
- Outside and in-house counsel on specialized legal matters.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of contract administration, legal, and/or business operations experience. 📋
- 2+ years of experience with project management systems and tools, and/or no-code/low-code automation. 🤖
- The ability to learn through doing, retain that information, and apply what was learned to new situations. 📑
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to translate complex legal language for business teams. 💬
- Experience with redlining and/or contract negotiation. ✏️
- Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously under tight deadlines. ⚡
- A keen - and I mean keen - attention to detail. The service we provide to our customers and creators is high-touch and white-glove, which means there are many opportunities for mistakes. And while mistakes do happen, we need someone who checks, double-checks, and then has someone else triple-check that everything looks correct before moving forward. 🔍
- Able to correctly set boundaries & realistic expectations with our customers. ⛔
- Enthusiasm for project management and cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to adjust to various communication styles and build relationships across teams. 🤝
- Ability to deal with highly sensitive and confidential information and respect the privacy and non-disclosure terms for our customers, creators, and employees. 🔐
- A love of video, tabletop, and/or trading card games and a high level of excitement around working with the devs and publishers who make the titles you love come to life. 🎮
Success in 90 Days:
- You are aware of Gamesight policies, guidelines, teams, and roles.
- You can access all tools and resources required for you to be effective – you also understand how to use these tools within Gamesight’s processes. 💪
- You understand Gamesight’s methodology and approach to influencer campaigns, creator programs, and community-building.
- You've established relationships with all key internal stakeholders and personally executed contracts across different departments (sales, creator, vendor). 🤝
- You've mapped Gamesight's entire contract ecosystem and identified the top 3 process gaps that need fixing.
- You've documented and improved one aspect of our Deal Desk process, and trained relevant teams on the new workflow.
- You're managing both strategic projects AND daily contract volume independently.
- PandaDoc is clean, organized, and actually being used correctly by teams. 🧽
- You can confidently switch between "I'm building a system" mode and "I'm executing this deal NOW" mode multiple times per day.
