The Role
You’ll join as our first full-time software engineer, working directly with our technical founder and a lean, high-caliber team of engineers and product designers. You’ll help us deliver rapid iterations of our platform while laying down a scalable, maintainable technical foundation.
We're seeking a versatile, front-end-leaning full-stack engineer who thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and wants to apply their years of experience to refine the “how” and contribute to the “why” behind product decisions.
Responsibilities
- Own and ship full-stack features in tight collaboration with product and design
- Architect for scale, maintainability, and performance
- Make key technical decisions with long-term impact in mind (scaling, security, testing, product documentation, and technical debt management)
- Set the tone for a positive, feedback-rich engineering culture
- Collaborate across time zones with excellent async and verbal communication
- Have 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, preferably with 3+ years in early-stage teams or startups
- Have led or significantly contributed to high-growth product launches
- Care deeply about code quality, design, and user experience
- Love working on small, fast-moving teams with high levels of autonomy
- Are familiar with modern stacks and best practices: React, Tailwind, Python, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.
- Communicate supberbly in English and are comfortable working mostly in English-speaking environments
- Can work closely with non-technical stakeholders
- Have excitement for high ownership, driving alignment, and shipping excellent features out of a changing and at times ambiguous environment.
- Want to grow into a foundational technical leader or principal engineer

Planning + Comms: Linear, Figma, Slack

🌍 Remote-First | PST-Friendly Hours
This role is fully remote. We ask for significant overlap with Pacific Time (9am–5pm PST), but are flexible about when and how you work. We view our needs as especially well-suited for contractors in South + Central America, Mexico, and Canada.
