About GO TO-U

GO TO-U is a technology platform for EV charging management, helping businesses operate, manage, and optimize electric vehicle charging infrastructure while delivering a seamless charging experience for EV drivers.

Our platform combines charging infrastructure management, mobile applications, payments, reservations, integrations, and operational tools into one connected ecosystem.

We are building technology for a rapidly growing global industry and are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Team Lead to take ownership of product quality across our platform.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on QA Lead who can strengthen and scale our quality assurance processes across manual testing, automation, performance testing, and release management.

This is not purely a management role.

You will lead and mentor the QA team while remaining technically involved in designing testing strategies, developing automation, improving test coverage, and working closely with Product, Engineering, and DevOps.

You will be responsible for establishing a predictable, measurable QA process that enables GO TO-U to release new functionality quickly without compromising product stability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and continuously improve the overall QA strategy across web, mobile, API, and backend systems.
  • Establish, optimize, and document manual and automated testing processes.
  • Build and maintain regression, integration, API, UI, mobile, performance, and load testing strategies.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests and testing frameworks.
  • Define test coverage requirements for new features and critical product functionality.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the QA team.
  • Plan and prioritize QA activities across releases and development cycles.
  • Review test cases, identify quality gaps, and improve testing efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Participate in release planning and ensure appropriate quality gates before production deployment.
  • Analyze defects, recurring production issues, and root causes to continuously improve product quality.
  • Define and track QA and release metrics, including test coverage, defect trends, regression results, and release quality.
  • Improve CI/CD integration and automated execution of tests.
  • Ensure critical user journeys and business processes are continuously validated.
Required Experience
  • 6+ years of professional QA experience, including at least 2 years in a QA Lead, QA Manager, or similar leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of web, mobile, API, and client-server application testing.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation using Java, Kotlin, or Groovy.
  • Experience designing and implementing QA automation frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and automated testing pipelines.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining test environments.
  • Experience with performance and load testing.
  • Experience with release management and production-quality processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate QA engineers.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams.
  • English level Intermediate+ or higher.
Technical Stack / Relevant Technologies

Experience with some or most of the following technologies is highly desirable:

  • Java
  • Kotlin
  • Gradle
  • MySQL
  • STOMP
  • Docker
  • Jenkins
  • AWS
  • SQS / SNS
  • Playwright
  • JUnit 5
  • RestAssured
  • Gatling
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Kotlin / Ktor or Java / Spring environments.
  • Strong background in API and integration testing.
  • Advanced performance and load testing experience.
  • Experience testing distributed or event-driven systems.
  • Experience with mobile application testing and automation.
  • Experience building QA processes in a fast-growing technology company.
  • Experience in EV charging, mobility, IoT, fintech, energy, or another infrastructure-related technology field is a plus.
What Success Looks Like

During the first months, we expect the QA Lead to:

  • assess the existing QA process and identify its major gaps;
  • establish a clear QA and automation strategy;
  • improve regression coverage of critical functionality;
  • introduce measurable quality and release criteria;
  • strengthen automated testing within CI/CD;
  • improve coordination between QA, Engineering, Product, and DevOps;
  • create greater predictability and confidence around production releases.
  • The ultimate objective is simple: build a QA function that allows GO TO-U to move fast while maintaining a reliable, high-quality product for customers and EV drivers worldwide.
