The position is available across our European hubs, including Paris (France), Lisbon (Portugal), Bucharest (Romania) and Belgrade (Serbia). Our work arrangement is hybrid, with a requirement of two days per week in the office.


About the Teams

Convert

Convert is Gorgias’ suite of revenue optimization products that help our Merchants increase their conversion rate, grow AOVs, and reduce bounce rate. We’ve repeatedly proven that with Convert, Merchants can increase their GMV and provide every shopper with a personalised shopping experience.

Growth

The Growth team is working towards PLG (product-led growth) in order to help our products sell each other, but before that, we need to clean up the billing system.

The goal is to decouple the billing system from the monolith. This has a big impact on the frontend because there's a lot of coupling between the frontend and the helpdesk (the monolith).

DeveloperRelations


The DevRel and Channels team provide a secure, well-documented API, enabling external developers to build and connect apps, and supporting a growing app ecosystem. Second, that team is in charge of providing authentication & authorization capacities to external and internal developers.


Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in full-stack development, working with both frontend and backend technologies.

  • You have experience working in cross-functional teams, collaborating closely with product teams, and contributing to a high-performing, supportive, and inclusive work environment.

  • Hands-on experience building and deploying end-to-end features, with a strong focus on monitoring and maintaining code in production.

  • Proven track record of scaling backend systems to handle thousands of requests per second efficiently.

  • You have demonstrated a strong sense of ownership in previous roles, particularly in fast-paced startup environments.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with TypeScript

  • Experience with WebSocket

  • Experience with React.js

Interview Process

Our interview process consists of 4 main steps and typically takes around two weeks from the initial screening to the offer stage, with feedback provided every 48 hours.

  1. Meet one of our tech recruiters (30 minutes)

  2. Meet two of our Engineering Managers (45 minutes)

  3. Technical Stage: Live System design assessment (60 minutes) & live coding session (60 minutes)

  4. Meet the CTO and co-founder (30 minutes)

After completing these steps, we conduct reference checks before extending an offer.
