This is an incredible opportunity where you will be working directly with the founding team. You will be amongst a world-class team with experience from BCG, early investors in Y Combinator, early NuBank (NYSE: NU), Zendesk, Hims & Hers, and many more. This is the first marketing hire after the founder CD.
The Ground AI team has built numerous consumer companies, including a couple of unicorns. 👀Despite Ground being a B2B SaaS, we operate more like a consumer company and are driven by the very best: our customers. Ground customers includes some of the world's most innovative consumer companies. In this role, your voice and style will be experienced in front of thousands of consumer companies, including major brands like Disney, Equinox, and Sephora. This is an opportunity to push the boundaries of your creativity in the dynamic and fast-paced environment of a startup. Sink of swim, baby…or something like that.

What will you do?

🧠 Orchestrate

Content strategy
Work with Ground’s Creative Director to design content marketing strategies across channels
Undertake content marketing initiatives to achieve business targets
Create an editorial calendar, execute, and ensure that deadlines are met across channels (email marketing, blog, and social media including LinkedIn and Twitter/X)
Design marketing experiments through channel testing (i.e. UGC, influencers, community testing, creative growth experiments, etc.)

🎨 Create

Content creation
Produce high-quality and engaging content (written, photos, videos) by collaborating within cross-functional teams, including designers and subject matter experts, to ensure content is accurate, on-brand, and meets project deadlines
Create and manage content distribution channels, including email newsletters, social media accounts, and third-party platforms, to increase reach and engagement
Own end-to-end content projects, such as, Grounded Insights, the interview series with the world’s most influential consumer leaders, and Ground’s weekly email and blog newsletter
Create and manage email marketing as a channel including automated flows and campaigns to support Sales and Customer Success business goals
Engage via social media with customer accounts (brands) supporting their work on behalf of Ground

📈 Analyze

Analytics & measurement of results
Develop, report and own KPIs and targets for community growth (customers and beyond) and engagement that are aligned with broader business goals
Optimize content for search engines and social media platforms, and track and report on key performance metrics to measure success
Continuously test and refine content marketing strategies and tactics to improve results and drive business growth

What we’re looking for

You’re digitally extroverted. In other words, you build relationships with people on the internet effortlessly, and your personality shines online just as well as offline.
Excellent verbal, written, and design communication: You know how to adapt brand voices knowing how to break down complex and (boring, oops!) concepts like AI and B2B SaaS for anyone to understand. You have a knack for creating elevated brand content despite the category (we may be software, but can you appeal to the standards of the very best in consumer? the very best in DTC?)
You’re multifaceted. Multi-talented. You’re highly creative paired and yet possess incredibly rigor, focus, and organizational skills where beyond strategy, you can execute by writing, and creating across mediums (written, photos, videos) pushing the boundaries of content.
You’re a visionary leader. You have big ideas and understand how to bring them to life through your work. You don’t just follow the herd of ‘B2B SaaS’ but have a point of view on how to ensure Ground AI achieves its mission while inspiring your team, consumer companies…and the world.
Scrappy, humble, hungry, will do whatever it takes!!! You’re able to make something look and feel amazing with very little resources. You thrive in chaos with very little hand holding and instructions wanting to have an impact through content. You can drive narratives and support sales and customer success by taking something small and making it look much bigger than it is through creative storytelling. You can work with those around you to humbly put the team above yourself - always.

What skills you should have

2+ years of content marketing design, storytelling and strategy experience (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, email marketing with tools like Klaviyo)
Strong work ethic, resilience, and humble eagerness to learn; You thrive working in a fast-paced environment, with little instructions, and get the job done no matter what. You like to own, you don’t rent.
Previous experience preferred in working within early stage B2B startups supporting e-commerce and consumer companies; The agility and flexibility to work in a small, fast-moving team and a growing business
Experience using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva or After Effects a plus
Experience using analytics tools like Hootsuite/Sprout Social, creating content trackers in Google Sheets, or GA4/Google Analytics
A demonstrated ability to produce engaging video and static content for social media with knowledge of, passion for, and experience with social media platforms, both established and emerging
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
