💡 Why This Role Matters

Shopify’s ecosystem is powered by partnerships. Agencies and tech partners influence where brands spend, what they use, and how they grow. The Head of Partnerships will turn Ground into a “must-have” recommendation among the top agencies and integration partners in the space.
If we do this right, we’ll have an army of trusted advisors selling on our behalf—and integrations that make Ground stickier, smarter, and harder to churn.
This is a foundational hire. You’ll work closely with the founders, sales, and product to architect and own our partner ecosystem from the ground up.

🎯 What You’ll Own

1. Agency Partnerships

Identify, prioritize, and build relationships with the top 50–100 Shopify agencies in beauty, wellness, and lifestyle verticals
Create a structured agency program: onboarding, enablement, rewards, co-marketing, and referral incentives
Drive agency-sourced pipeline and revenue—turn partners into multipliers
Host enablement webinars, attend ecosystem events, and be Ground’s ambassador in the partner world

2. Tech & Integration Partnerships

Deepen integrations with key Shopify tools (Klaviyo, Gorgias, Recharge, Postscript, etc.)
Own co-marketing and co-selling motions—joint webinars, case studies, AMAs, newsletters
Track and report on how integrations influence retention, product adoption, and win rate
Influence the roadmap based on what’s needed to win in the ecosystem

3. Build a Scalable Program

Create a tiered partner program with clear incentives, certification tracks, and co-branded assets
Use tools like Crossbeam and Reveal for account mapping and attribution
Set and track KPIs: partner-sourced revenue, attach rate, contribution to pipeline, retention impact
Build internal alignment across sales, product, and marketing on partner plays

🧬 Who You Are

You’ll Excel If You:

Know the Shopify ecosystem cold—whether from an agency, SaaS app, or platform background
Have 4–8+ years of partnerships, ecosystem, or BD experience tied to revenue outcomes
Have built or scaled a partner program, ideally from 0→1
Can point to $XM in partner-sourced or partner-influenced revenue you helped drive
Are a builder who can operate with limited resources, prioritize ruthlessly, and execute fast
Think like a founder—long-term vision, short-term hustle
Have strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to win trust fast
Are comfortable being both strategic and executional—you’ll be the one running the calls and the strategy

Bonus Points If:

You’ve worked with beauty or lifestyle brands
You’ve launched integrations inside the Shopify ecosystem
You’ve worked closely with sales and marketing teams to create partner enablement playbooks

You’re overly focused on “relationships” and not revenue
You’ve never worked in or around ecommerce or partner ecosystems
You expect a big team right away—we need a doer and a builder
You can’t point to results from partnerships beyond brand awareness or vague “synergies”

What we offer

💰 Competitive compensation package including base salary, uncapped commission, and equity. On-Target Earnings (OTE) range from $120k to $180k.
This range reflects the opportunity to earn significant upside through performance, with equity aligning incentives for long-term growth.
