We're looking for a thoughtful, curious, and product-minded engineer to join our foundational team and help us build something that truly matters.

What you'll do at haboo

As our first Product Engineer, you'll be at the heart of our mission, working across our entire stack to build features that have a direct, positive impact on people's lives. You won't just be closing tickets; you'll be a key partner in shaping the product and our technical direction.

• 🛠️ Build features end-to-end: You'll own the entire lifecycle of new features, from the initial idea and technical design through to building the back-end logic and shipping it on our mobile apps.
• 🧠 Solve interesting technical challenges: You'll solve challenges across our whole stack, from scaling our serverless AWS back end to building slick, responsive experiences in our native mobile apps.
• 🤝 Partner directly with the leadership team: You’ll work in a tight-knit loop with our founders and Head of Engineering to understand our users' needs, turning complex problems into simple, elegant solutions.
• 📈 Scale our foundations for the future: You'll build upon our successful MVP, making key architectural decisions to evolve our systems for reliability and scale. You'll champion the engineering standards that will define our quality bar for years to come.
• 🌱 Shape our culture from the ground up: As a foundational member of the engineering team, you'll play a vital role in establishing our technical standards, our processes, and the kind of collaborative culture we want to build.

• 📚 You're a polyglot at heart: You have professional experience with both statically-typed (like Swift, Kotlin, Java) and dynamically-typed (like JavaScript, Python) languages, and are comfortable choosing the right tool for the job.
• 💖 You're product-minded: You're obsessed with the user's experience and the 'why' behind every feature. You have a deep empathy for the people using your product and a relentless drive to make their lives easier, simpler, and better through technology.
• 💬 You're a compassionate collaborator: You believe that the best work happens in teams. You're great at giving and receiving feedback, and you enjoy partnering with others to achieve a shared goal.
