HILOS is building the first 3D design platform made specifically for footwear—no CAD required. Powered by machine learning, our core geometry engine breaks down barriers between 2D and 3D, design and manufacturing.
Our cross-functional team sits at the intersection of footwear and software, combining craft and intelligence to give designers a second brain and third hand. We’re here to amplify human impact in real-world creation—and we believe the tools should be just as inspiring as the work they enable.
We’re hiring a Head of Engineering to lead our digital platform—overseeing a growing team of designers and engineers, and working closely with our Lab to advance the core geometry engine. You’ll shape our software strategy, define the tech roadmap, and grow the team that’s building the future. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the CEO.

As Head of Product, you will:
Lead and mentor a cross-functional team spanning frontend, backend, and fullstack engineers—as well as AI/ML specialists, computational designers, and applied researchers.
Coordinate with our Lab team to advance our core geometry engine and machine learning pipeline, with an eye toward dissolving the boundaries between design and development.
Partner closely with product and design leads to translate visionary ideas into scalable, human-centered systems—zooming fluidly between the big picture and the smallest detail.
Define the technical roadmap and architecture with a balance of innovation, pragmatism, and speed.
Build a culture of trust, craft, and clarity—bottom-up and inside-out—where every team member feels heard, understood, and empowered to do their best work.
Recruit and grow exceptional talent, with a keen eye for both technical skill and creative potential.
Show up with a pulse on culture, a deep understanding of people (even when they don’t quite know how to articulate what they need), and the humility to listen more than you speak.
Thrive in ambiguity, get scrappy when needed, and always find a way forward without compromising intention or impact.
Represent software engineering in leadership forums, contributing to broader company strategy with vision, clarity, and care.
