Head of Translational Oncology
Illumicell
Who We Are
illumicell AI is building a platform that transforms live-cell imaging at the point of care into digital biomarkers. Developed in Zurich and refined at Harvard’s Pagliuca Life Lab, our AI-driven system started by redefining sperm analysis and is now expanding into immune-oncology. Our goal: deliver real-time insights on immune response to support better patient stratification and faster clinical trials.
Your Mission
Lead the translational medicine function, connecting our live-cell phenomics platform with big pharma and clinical partners. You’ll scope pilots, shape endpoints, and guide validation paths that demonstrate the value of our approach to translational oncology.
What You’ll Do
- Translational Strategy: Design and oversee pilots with pharma and academic centers; align study design with translational research needs.
- Partnership Development: Serve as the clinical/scientific face of illumicell AI; build collaborations with translational groups and CROs.
- Evidence & Validation: Guide our platform through appropriate benchmarks; prioritize the evidence pharma needs to adopt exploratory tools.
- Leadership: Collaborate across wet-lab, ML, and product teams; mentor scientists; report to the CEO and Head of Product.
What We’re Looking For
- 7–10 years in translational oncology, ideally immuno-oncology.
- Proven track record leading biomarker studies or pharma collaborations.
- Familiarity with immunotherapy, immune monitoring techniques, and translational trial endpoints.
- Experience scoping research-use pilots with pharma.
- Strong communication skills to bridge science, medicine, and business.
