Utility-Scale Solar O&M Manager
InfraNergy
Location: Greenville/Hermitage–Shenango Valley (Greater Pittsburgh), PA — 75-mile radius accepted (Greenville, Hermitage, Sharon, Meadville, New Castle, Youngstown OH).
Relocation or rotation considered.
Compensation: $105,000–$145,000 base /OT eligible
About the role
Own availability, safety, and performance for utility-scale solar PV sites using Power Electronics inverters. You’ll lead PM/CM programs, coordinate with the EPC and OEM, stand up spares/CMMS, and shepherd the sites into steady-state O&M.
What you’ll do
- Lead site operations and maintenance: perform non-invasive preventive maintenance, execute corrective repairs, raise performance ratio and availability, and shorten mean time to repair.
- Direct maintenance on Power Electronics centralized inverters and manage manufacturer support cases and escalations.
- Perform medium-voltage and balance-of-plant switching, apply lockout/tagout procedures, handle pad-mounted transformer and protective relay tasks, and oversee infrared thermography and current–voltage curve testing campaigns.
- Stand up a computerized maintenance management system (such as Fiix, eMaint, or Maximo), implement spare-parts control, and strengthen safety through job hazard analyses and lockout/tagout audits.
- Manage subcontractors for vegetation control and module washing using trigger-based scheduling and quality assurance.
- Interface with the remote operations control center on alarms and dispatch, and maintain accurate supervisory control and data acquisition tag dictionaries.
- Report key performance indicators—performance ratio, availability, soiling impact, and grid-imposed curtailments—with clear action plans.
Must-haves
- 5+ years utility-scale PV and inverter field service (≥50 MW aggregate).
- Direct hands-on with Power Electronics (OEM) inverters (FS-1500/FS-2000 or similar).
- OSHA-30 (Construction) and strong MV safety/LOTO discipline.
- Comfortable working outdoors, climbing, and lifting as the job requires.
- Valid driver’s license; regional travel between sites.
Preferred
- Journeyman Electrician or NABCEP PV Installation Professional.
- IR Thermography Level I; IV-curve testing experience.
- Historian/SCADA exposure: Ignition or PI/OSIsoft; Modbus-TCP/DNP3.
- CMMS (Fiix/eMaint/Maximo) and basic Excel/Power BI for KPI reporting.
- Leadership experience (crew lead/foreman/supervisor).
Schedule & start
- M–F days with storm/commissioning call-outs.
- Start window: Q3–Q4 2025; commissioning support through 2026–27.
