The RoleWe're looking for a product manager to architect the next generation of Intelligems’ revenue engine. You'll own the implementation and execution of our full monetization lifecycle, from how we package and price our product to how customers pay, upgrade, and expand over time.This is a deeply cross-functional role at the intersection of engineering, sales, partnerships, product growth, finance, and customer experience. You’ll be responsible for owning trials, paywalls, in-product upgrade moments, plan comparisons, expansion paths, downgrades, and renewals. At the same time, you'll ensure our billing platform scales to support increasingly complex subscription models, partnership structures, and financial workflows.This role requires someone who can think holistically about the business, operate comfortably across multiple stakeholder groups, and translate both strategic vision and tactical sales requirements into scalable, reliable product experiences. You will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and relentless execution.What You'll Do:Drive monetization strategy and outcomesDefine and execute the monetization roadmap, owning the strategic levers that drive revenue expansion: packaging, pricing models, subscription tiers, bundles, and cross-sell/upsell logicDesign and optimize in-product moments that accelerate upgrades — paywalls, plan comparisons, trial flows, and expansion paths — reducing friction and increasing conversionModel pricing impacts, validate hypotheses, and challenge assumptions using data and experimentation in close partnership with Finance, RevOps, and Data & AnalyticsChampion the use of AI tools to make the team more efficient and data-driven in its daily workOwn the billing system and payments infrastructureDefine the product strategy and roadmap for Intelligems' billing platform, spanning subscription management, payment processing, refunds and invoicingOwn and optimize the end-to-end payment and billing experience, including checkout flows and recurring billing experiencesDesign and deliver scalable billing flows that support diverse pricing models, partnership arrangements (e.g., revenue shares, reseller agreements)Bridge engineering and sales operationsServe as the connector between technical execution and business financial goals, translating sales and partnership requirements into clear, complete functional specificationsProactively identify edge cases, missing requirements, and workflow gaps before features are builtDevelop deep expertise in our billing system's architecture to anticipate how new features interact with existing functionalityCreate documentation, SOPs, and training materials that enable Sales and Customer Success teams to effectively manage billing and monetization scenarios at scaleEnsure financial accuracy and operational excellenceCollaborate with Finance to ensure billing data integrity, accurate revenue recognition, and seamless reconciliationImplement guardrails, validation logic, and error handling to prevent billing mistakes that could impact customer trust or financial reportingNavigate compliance requirements, such as tax regulations, and translate them into product features and platform safeguardsWhat You Bring:Required Experience & SkillsStrong technical aptitude: you can understand system architecture, data flows, API integrations, and complex billing logic. You don't need to code, but you can hold detailed technical conversations with engineers and anticipate technical implications of product decisionsSystems thinker with a holistic business sense: you operate cross-functionally, hold complex interconnected systems in your head, and understand how monetization decisions ripple across product, finance, sales, and customer experienceExperience with subscription business models: you understand MRR, expansion revenue, churn, cohort analysis, and how packaging and billing decisions drive these metricsAI-curious: you may not be an AI engineer, but you're eager to leverage AI tools to accelerate workflows and make the team more data-drivenIdeal Background3+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time spent on monetization, billing systems, payments, or subscription management in a SaaS environmentExperience working closely with sales teams or in sales/partnerships roles: you understand how sales operates, what they need to close deals, and how to translate their requirements into scalable product featuresExperience at a high-growth SaaS company, especially one serving SMB customers or operating on ShopifyBackground in consulting, revenue operations, or finance — people who think about the business holistically, manage multiple stakeholders well, and bring structured problem-solving to ambiguous situations tend to thrive hereFamiliarity with partnership or reseller billing models (revenue shares, co-selling arrangements)Experience enabling growth motions through product: upsells, trials, upgrade paths, and reactivation campaignsBonus: deep hands-on experience with e-commerce billing platforms (Stripe, Shopify, WooCommerce, or similar)Key AttributesMonetization-minded: you think about packaging, pricing, and expansion as strategic levers, not just operational tasksDetail-oriented: you catch edge cases, ask clarifying questions, and ensure requirements are complete before engineering starts buildingProactive problem-solver: you identify issues before they become crises and think several steps aheadStrong communicator: you can explain complex billing and monetization concepts to non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into technical requirementsCustomer-focused: you understand that billing and upgrade experiences directly impact customer trust and retentionPragmatic: you balance perfectionism with speed, knowing when to ship quickly and when to invest in getting it right
