About Intuitivo

Teachers spend too much time on repetitive tasks like creating and grading assessments, taking away valuable time from their students. At Intuitivo, we're changing that. Our digital platform streamlines the entire assessment process, helping teachers save time and focus on what matters most: teaching.

We're trusted by hundreds of schools and tens of thousands of teachers, and we're just getting started. We're growing the team and expanding to new markets. You'll be joining a small, fast-moving team where you'll have real impact from day one.

Sounds like your kind of thing? Let’s shape the future of education together! 🚀

The Role

We're growing our engineering team and splitting it into three focused domains: core, growth, and exam boards. This role is for the growth domain**:** a small group working closely with our growth colleagues to improve current metrics and ship the features that take Intuitivo to new markets.

This is a junior position, and a great opportunity to grow. You'll work alongside an experienced engineer who will support you, review your code, and help you level up. You'll contribute to features that reach tens of thousands of teachers across the world.

The growth team moves fast and cares about outcomes. You'll learn to think in metrics, ship iteratively, and understand what it takes to scale a product to new markets. It's a great environment if you're curious, eager to learn, and excited about making an impact early in your career.

The role spans our React frontend, Express backend, and PostgreSQL database, all hosted on AWS. You don't need to know all of it on day one; what matters is a solid foundation and the curiosity to keep learning.

About You

  • You have some hands-on experience building web applications, whether through internships, personal projects, freelance work, or your first role.
  • You work as a software engineer, but have an interest or curiosity for the business side of things.
  • You're comfortable with JavaScript and have at least a basic understanding of how frontend and backend fit together.
  • You understand the fundamentals of relational databases and can write basic SQL queries.
  • You're a fast learner who takes feedback well and actively looks for ways to improve.
  • You have a bias for action. You'd rather ship something small and learn from it than wait for perfect conditions.
  • You're curious about how products grow, why some features take off, and others don't, and how data can help answer that.
  • You communicate clearly and aren't afraid to ask questions.

Nice to Have

  • Some familiarity with React or a similar frontend framework.
  • Any exposure to Node.js or backend development.
  • Any interest in or exposure to product analytics, A/B testing, or growth concepts.
  • Background in or passion for education technology.
