The Role
We're growing our engineering team and splitting it into three focused domains: core, growth, and exam boards. This role is for the growth domain**:** a small group working closely with our growth colleagues to improve current metrics and ship the features that take Intuitivo to new markets.
You'll be building the product experiences that drive acquisition, activation, retention and expansion, whether that's onboarding flows, experimentation systems, localization infrastructure, or growth-oriented product features. Speed and data matter here: you'll ship often and use metrics to understand what's working.
This is a full-stack role across our React frontend, Express backend, and PostgreSQL database, hosted on AWS. You'll have real ownership of meaningful work from day one.
About You
- You have 4+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development, owning and delivering features end-to-end.
- You work as a software engineer, but have an interest or curiosity for the business side of things.
- You're highly proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js. You can navigate a complex codebase and make good architectural decisions without hand-holding.
- You're strong with relational databases. You write and optimise SQL confidently, and you think carefully about data modelling and performance at scale.
- You operate with autonomy. You can take an ambiguous problem, break it down, propose a solution, and implement it without needing someone to manage every step.
- You love shipping. You have a strong bias for action and can move fast without cutting corners on quality or reliability.
- You're data-driven. You think in metrics, care about outcomes, and use numbers, not just intuition, to guide your decisions.
- You communicate clearly with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders, and you contribute positively to the people around you.
Nice to Have
- Experience working on growth, experimentation, or A/B testing systems.
- Familiarity with AWS (ECS, RDS, S3, or similar services).
- Experience in a SaaS environment, ideally at a startup or scale-up.
- Knowledge of internationalisation (i18n) and what it takes to launch a product in new markets.
- Background in or passion for education technology.
