We're looking for an educator who can make responsible AI practical — not a lecture series, but training that changes how teams actually build and use AI. You'll design and deliver content that matters, fast.

This is a freelance, contractor position, open to remote applicants (UK timezone preferred)

Role type: Freelance contractor

Start date: ASAP

Job location: Remote / UK Timezone

About ivee

ivee is an AI upskilling platform focused on closing the AI adoption gap.

We train non-technical teams on AI tools and workflows so they actually use them. Clients include Lucky Saint, Red Bull, and Virgin Media. We're the UK Government's primary AI upskilling events partner and recently raised a $1M seed round backed by Techstars, and angels from Balderton Microsoft AI, and Steven Bartlett.

We move FAST. You must be able to do the same.

The role:

As AI tools embed themselves into everyday work, teams need more than adoption training — they need a framework for using AI responsibly. We're building programmes that help people navigate bias, transparency, data privacy, and governance in practical, applied ways. We need someone who can take these topics out of the ethics committee and put them in the hands of real teams.

This is NOT a philosophy lecture job. You'll create content that gives people real tools for real decisions — and you'll need to keep pace with a regulatory and technical landscape that shifts constantl.y

What yo'll do:

1. Design and deliver live sessions

  • Lead live virtual training sessions on AI tools, workflows, and practical applications
  • Adapt on the fly to whoever's in the room: beginners and power users in the same cohort
  • Bring real energy across a full session without burning out or boring people

2. Build course content from scratch

  • Design programme structures and session flows that take learners from confused to confident
  • Write clear, engaging content that doesn't require a script to deliver well
  • Make complex AI concepts genuinely accessible without dumbing them down

3. Record pre-recorded modules

  • Produce bite-sized async content that lands without a live audience there to feed off
  • Maintain the same quality and energy on camera whether live or recorded

4. Stay current and ship fast

  • When a major AI product drops or updates, have a new session ready within days
  • Track the AI tool landscape actively — not just the big names, but what's actually worth teaching
  • Work directly with the ivee team to prioritise what to build next

5. Use AI to build better learning

  • Use AI tools to support content creation, research, and session prep
  • Comfortable building workflows to improve your own output speed and quality

What we need from you

  • You have substantive knowledge of responsible AI — bias, fairness, transparency, governance, privacy — and can apply it to workplace decisions, not just academic frameworks
  • You use AI tools regularly and can speak honestly about what responsible use looks like in practice — not just in policy
  • You've taught, trained, or facilitated before and know how to make difficult or uncomfortable topics land without alienating or overwhelming your audience
  • Genuine on-camera presence — the kind that makes people lean in on a topic they thought was going to be dry
  • Fast — when a major AI incident or regulation lands, you can have a session ready in days, not weeks

Domain fluency is mandatory

  • You must have working knowledge of the EU AI Act, UK AI regulation, and major responsible AI frameworks (e.g. NIST AI RMF, Google PAIR, Partnership on AI). Familiarity with AI safety concepts, algorithmic auditing, and organisational AI governance is a strong plus. A background in ethics, law, policy, or social science alongside technical AI fluency is exactly the combination we're looking for.

What success looks like

  • At least one live responsible AI programme designed and delivered end-to-ed=nd
  • A library of pre-recorded async modules covering core responsible AI topics
  • A proven process for turning around relevant sessions within 72 hours of a major AI policy or incident development
  • Learner feedback that shows people are making better AI decisions at work — not just feeling more informed

Why this role?

  • High ownership, zero bureaucracy
  • Direct line to founders
  • Build a core part of what ivee is known for
  • Opportunity to extend into a longer-term role
