Jukely was founded in 2013 by Bora Celik, a Turkish-born, New York-based engineer and concert promoter. Celik has an intimate knowledge of the live music industry, having previously put together close to 100 shows for leading, international artists, including top acts such as Tiesto and Kaskade. Backed by key investors behind Spotify and Soundcloud, the Jukely Unlimited service allows subscribers to attend a concert each day in their immediate area (or further afield) for a flat monthly fee of £25. Concerts available to subscribers cover an eclectic range of musical genres: from top-tier DJs and international dance music stars to emerging indie, blues, folk, punk-rock bands, and other local talents. The average Jukely subscriber attends 2-3 concerts a month, with up to 70% of its members attending shows by artists previously unknown to them. In terms of partnerships, over 450 promoters and 500 venues across North America and the UK currently participate with the platform. Jukely's concert subscription service has quickly taken root in 15 key cities across North America - including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, and Toronto - and the company's new London base will act as a springboard for further expansion into continental Europe in the near future, with major cities such as Amsterdam, Paris and Berlin already earmarked.
