THE ROLE

We're expanding our product team and looking for a talented Lead Product Designer to help deliver our exciting 2024 roadmap. You’ll collaborate with a passionate team to design and build the operating system for the future of hybrid work. Reporting to the Head of Product & Engineering, you'll create compelling workflows, interfaces, and experiences that will propel both your career and Kadence forward.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and own the end-to-end design process from concept to launch, ensuring high-quality design output.
  • Prioritise and design beautiful and simple user experiences and interfaces to delight users.
  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to define user actions, design interfaces, and help set product direction.
  • Work directly with existing and prospective customers to understand pain points and build prototypes to solve their problems.
  • Prototype and iterate rapidly on solutions for user challenges.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate design ideas.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Maintain and improve the design system to ensure consistency across all products.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor products to inform design strategies.
  • Contribute to essential tasks such as floor plan design and generation.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Wide ranging experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a design team.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively.
  • Experience in the end-to-end delivery of successful products.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced tech startup environment.
  • Experience building SaaS platforms for enterprise customers.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
