💼 Job Overview

We are looking for a Regulatory Affairs Consultant to support our international expansion and ensure compliance of our products across multiple markets.

This role will work closely with cross-functional teams such as Product Innovation, QA and Marketing, providing regulatory guidance and ensuring that all products, ingredients, and packaging meet applicable legal requirements.

This is an ideal role for someone experienced in global food regulations who enjoys working in a fast-paced, international environment.

🧾 What You’ll Do

Ensure regulatory compliance of food products, ingredients, and packaging across international markets

Support operations in the US and Portugal, as well as new market entries

Review and validate product labeling, nutritional information, and claims

Advise internal teams (R&D, Marketing) on regulatory requirements and risks

Support export processes and international product registration

Monitor regulatory changes and provide strategic guidance

Contribute to regulatory strategies for market expansion

Ensure compliance with food safety and international legislation standards

🧠 What We’re Looking For

Degree in Food Science, Food Technology,, Nutrition, Microbiology, Food Safety, Regulatory Affair, Biotechnology, or similar

Proven experience in regulatory affairs within the food industry (international exposure preferred)

Strong knowledge of food labeling, claims, and global food regulations

Knowledge of FDA (US), EFSA (EU), UK FSA, Codex Alimentarius, and Novel foods.

Experience supporting international expansion and Import/export compliance

Fluency in Portuguese and English (mandatory)

Ability to work independently in a remote, consulting-based setup

Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail

Proactive and collaborative approach

Experience with plant-based products, supplements, or functional ingredients

Experience working on multi-country regulatory projects

Previous experience in startups or fast-growing international companies

Knowledge of other languages, French, Spanish, Dutch, German
