Backed by $5M in funding from Techstars, Comcast, and [REDACTED UNTIL MAR '25], KYD Labs is assembling a top-tier product team to redefine ticketing for billions of users globally.

As the Founding Product Designer, you will shape the foundational design, brand, and visual identity of KYD Labs. In short, you’ll establish the design and marketing direction for a company set to revolutionize live events globally in an industry ripe for innovation. Working directly with the CEO, you’ll define a scalable design culture while driving product and marketing design execution with the CTO and engineering.

You’ll own and breathe KYD Labs’ mantra, “Keep Your Distribution.” Your work will enable the world’s biggest artists and music venues to connect directly with their fans, simplify their workflows, and unlock new revenue opportunities. As part of a lean team, you’ll also wear many hats, creating marketing assets, establishing our brand, and delivering tangible value to KYD Labs’ customers.

What You’ll Do

• Lead Product Design: Own the entire design process for KYD Labs’ platform, from ideation to high-fidelity UI and UX specs, ensuring efficient execution with the engineering team. Support Marketing Design: Rapidly develop marketing content for customers’ shows and campaigns, creating TikTok- and Meta-ready assets.
• Define KYD’s Brand Identity: Develop KYD Labs’ visual identity and tone, creating a cohesive, bold, and memorable brand experience across all touchpoints.
• Establish Design Infrastructure: Create and maintain a design language system (DLS), scalable design templates, and reusable components to enable consistency and efficiency.
• Enable Customer Success: Work directly with venues, artists, and partners to design solutions that address their specific needs, ensuring seamless adoption of KYD Labs. Prototype and Iterate: Create front-end prototypes to gather early customer feedback, ensuring designs are user-friendly and meet market needs.
• Scale the Team: Lay the groundwork for a scalable design organization, including hiring and managing marketing agencies and freelancers to support short-term goals.

Who You Are

• Experienced Designer: 6+ years of product design experience, including significant time in both technical UX product and marketing design.
• Startup Savvy: Proven track record of success in seed-stage startups, thriving in ambiguous, high-growth environments.
• Founder-Like Mentality: You take ownership, act decisively, and embrace the challenges of building in a fast-paced startup.
• Technical Excellence: Deep experience with design systems, tokens, variables, and advanced design tools like Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, or other leading-edge platforms.
• Creative Visionary: You have the ability to balance bold creativity with technical execution, delivering cohesive and impactful designs.
• Scrappy, Relentless, and Adaptive: Comfortable with balancing product and marketing design needs, creating prototypes, and supporting rapid iteration cycles.

Bonus Points:

• Front-end development skills to create working prototypes.
• Background in ticketing, paid advertising, or data management platforms.
• Passion and background for music and live events, whether as an artist, designer, or venue owner.
• Experience illustrating and creating bespoke visuals.
