Job Title: Solar Sales Agent

Reports To: Channel Manager, Embedded Sales & Distribution
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Solar Sales Agent to drive the distribution and sales of solar systems through retail channels. You will be responsible for engaging shop owners, educating them on products, managing orders, tracking payments, and ensuring compliance with pricing and sales policies. This is a field-based role with daily targets, client engagement, and reporting responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Distribution
- Receive and safely store assigned solar systems.
- Visit a minimum of six (6) shop owners daily to educate them about the product.
- Offer systems at the predefined distributor price.
- Ensure shop owners commit to reselling at or above the minimum retail price.
- Monitor and support shop owners with promotional strategies to boost sales.
Sales Documentation & KYC Compliance
- Collect and verify KYC documents from shop owners receiving systems on supplier credit.
- Ensure shop owners sign the sales agreement before product delivery.
- Submit accurate documentation for approval before order fulfillment.
Payment Collection & Order Management
- Ensure full payment is made by shop owners within two (2) weeks of product delivery.
- Track and confirm payments before new orders are approved.
- Retrieve unsold systems after four (4) weeks if not sold, ensuring product condition is intact.
- Only request additional stock after full distribution of previous inventory.
Pricing & Sales Compliance
- Adhere strictly to approved pricing policies.
- Ensure all shop owners and agents do not sell below the approved minimum retail price.
- Direct-to-consumer sales are allowed in limited quantity, but must align with sales targets and pricing policies.
Reporting & Meetings
- Attend daily team meetings (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM) to discuss updates, progress, and challenges.
- Maintain detailed records of shop visits, sales closed, payments collected.
- Provide weekly reports on performance, customer feedback, and market observations.
Compensation & Incentives
- Base Salary: ₦75,000/month (paid last day of the month)
- Commission per Sale: ₦4,000 – ₦50,000 (paid biweekly; varies by system sold)
- Daily Transport Allowance: ₦5,000/day (₦25,000 paid weekly every Monday)
