Job Title: SunFi Field Distribution Agents 🚀

Team: Growth (Channel: Embedded Sales and Distribution)

Reporting to: Channel Manager: Embedded Sales and Distribution

About the Role

Field Sales Agents play a vital role in bringing our solar systems directly to end users through a smooth and efficient daily rental process. This role involves working closely with customers to ensure they understand how to use the systems safely while getting the most value from it. The agent will be responsible for explaining the features, benefits, and proper handling of the systems before they are rented out. They must carefully inspect each system before handing it over to confirm it is in perfect working condition and check it again upon return to identify any damages or faults. Any issues should be reported immediately to ensure the systems remain reliable and ready for future use.

The agent will manage accurate records of all rentals, track payments, and ensure all systems are properly accounted for at all times. They will also work closely with the Field support rider to coordinate timely deliveries and returns. This collaboration ensures customers receive their systems when needed, helping to maintain a smooth and reliable rental process.

The Field Sales Distribution Agent will help build trust, safeguard company assets, and support the overall growth of the business.

This role requires a proactive, business-savvy leader with strong relationship management skills, sales expertise, and the ability to drive large-scale adoption of solar financing solutions.

Job Responsibilities 📚

Field Logistics and Distribution

  • Work closely with the field supervisor to ensure you have 5-10 batteries needed to serve customers on time on a daily basis
  • Engage with the field supervisor to rent out 5 minimum batteries daily, 25 batteries weekly and 100 batteries monthly and ensure customers pay for these batteries and return them in good condition
  • Collaborate with riders to transport at least 5 batteries daily from base station to customers on a rental basis.
  • Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, returns, and inventory movements in the field on a daily basis.
  • Respond quickly to requests from supervisor, customers and team members to meet urgent operational needs.
  • Enable Safely on the field daily.

Sales Documentation & KYC Compliance

  • Collect and verify KYC documentation for customers renting the system These includes:
  • Full Name
  • Email Address
  • Phone Number
  • Home & Shop Address
  • NIN Slip or Any Valid National ID
  • Picture of the Shop Owner in their Shop
  • Ensure shop owners sign the SunFi sales agreement before product delivery.
  • Submit completed KYC documents to SunFi for approval.

Pricing & Sales Compliance

  • Adhere to SunFi’s pricing policy

Daily Reporting & Meetings

  • Attend daily team meetings from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM (Monday – Friday) to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of batteries distributed, leads generated and possible payments collected
  • Provide weekly reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and market insights

Compensation & Incentives

The base pay for this role is ₦70,000 monthly, paid on the last day of each month. In addition, agents will earn biweekly commissions on every sale made. A daily transport allowance will also be provided to cover movement and field expenses.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Sales & marketing skill
  • Field sales experience
  • Strong knowledge of local routes and good navigation skills.
  • Integrity & Reliability: must be reliable, punctual, and committed to completing tasks on time.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly with suppliers and team members.
  • Physically fit and able to handle packages carefully and safely.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and accountability for the systems and batteries being handled.

  • Prior experience working as a sales agent on the field in a local community
  • Basic record-keeping or inventory management skills to track deliveries and returns.
