As a Bioinformatician in our team focused on Biomarker and Drug Discovery, you will:

  • Review and propose scientific protocols for identifying candidate therapeutic targets and candidate compounds
  • Stay up to date with literature and propose new methodologies around biomarker and drug discovery
  • Adopt community best practices in feature and model selection for high dimensionality datasets
  • Develop integrations across best in class tools for Statistical Genetics and more specifically gene target identification
  • Implement solutions using workflow management systems such us Nextflow or WDL
  • Provide upgrades, patches and maintenance of software

Requirements

We are looking for pioneering Bioinformaticians to join our team today. You have demonstrable knowledge and experience in bioinformatics, specifically you have experience in:

  • 2+ years experience developing solutions for feature selection in the Life Sciences, proficiency in Statistical Genetics and understanding of the limitation of high dimensionality omics datasets
  • Proficiency in Python or R and the statistics and machine learning packages ecosystem for Life Sciences
  • Have experience with Population Genomics, especially post-GWAS analyses like Finemapping, Colocalisation and Mendelian Randomisation
  • Data analysis building dahsboards with Jupyter Notebooks, Rmarkdowns

Additionally, we are looking for candidates who:

  • Have strong communication skills, both oral and written, with attention to detail
  • Are able to organise and structure biomedical information, and be outcome oriented
