Full-Stack Senior Software Engineer ($4k-5k USD/month)

At LISUS, our mission is to empower a Net Zero World by bringing together the world's brightest minds to solve the most pressing environmental challenges of this century.

Our exploration team develops trailblazing software analysis tools that use advanced machine learning algorithms and remote hyperspectral imagery to aid in the discovery of areas with high concentrations of minerals for batteries. Our technology combines multiple types of remote sensing imagery, artificial intelligence algorithms, and geophysical attributes to help users visualize what is invisible to the naked eye.

As a key member of our exploration team, you will have the opportunity to lead the development of Alchemist and Providence, our revolutionary AI-based software solutions for mineral exploration. You will play a crucial role in shaping the software architecture and implementing novel machine learning approaches to improve the efficiency of geophysical operations. Your responsibilities will include implementing, testing, and integrating new algorithms, and collaborating with the team to optimize the software for performance, scalability, and ease of use.

To excel in this role, it is essential that you are proficient in Python, Java, or C++ and have a strong understanding of AWS, particularly EC2 and S3; experience working with satellite and geospatial data is highly preferred. The salary range for this full-time position in Mexico City is between USD $4,000 and USD $5,000 per month + stock equity + bonus. On top of your salary, you will also receive equity in the company, giving you the opportunity to share its future success.

A strong engineering background in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Hydrogeology, Geology, or Physics is preferred, although no university degree is required. Qualifications

● University degree is preferred but not required.

● Experience working with Satellite data, Image Processing, and AI algorithms is preferred.

● 6+ Years of working experience.

● Willingness to work in-person 3-4 days a week and to relocate to Mexico City.

● Willingness to pass a background security clearance.

● Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.

● Demonstrated ability to work independently.

● Strong coder with demonstrated proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar.
