Role Description
Locus Lock is seeking a Business Operations team member to help build and scale the operational foundation of the company. Working directly with the CEO, you’ll own high-priority initiatives across recruiting, operations, finance, business development, compliance, and strategic projects.
This role is for someone who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys solving new problems every week. As the company grows, the challenges you’ll work on will evolve, giving you exposure to nearly every aspect of building a venture-backed aerospace and defense technology company.
This is a full-time, in-person role based in Westminster, CO. We believe our best work happens when our team is together, so we’re looking for someone excited to build alongside us in the office.
Key Responsibilities
Company Operations
- Own high-priority initiatives from concept through execution.
- Build scalable internal processes, documentation, and operating systems.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical solutions that improve efficiency.
Strategic Initiatives
- Prepare analyses, presentations, and decision-making materials for leadership.
- Own special projects across the business as company priorities evolve.
Recruiting & Talent
- Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and recruiting operations.
- Help improve hiring processes and candidate experience as the team grows.
Cross-Functional Execution
- Work across engineering, business development, finance, and operations to solve the company’s highest-priority challenges.
- Communicate effectively with customers, partners, investors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Roll up your sleeves - no task is beneath you and no problem is outside your scope.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytical discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Business, Finance, or similar.
- 2 - 5 years of experience in consulting, business operations, strategy, or another high-performance environment.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to independently own and execute complex projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excited to work in a fast-moving, in-person startup environment.
Preferred
- Experience working at an early-stage startup.
- Entrepreneurial, research, or company-building experience.
- Technical aptitude and curiosity.
