Shipping Team Leader

Accountabilities
- Manage end-to-end export processes to the U.S. via air freight and import processes from China via sea freight.
- Monitor and optimize shipping cost per unit while maintaining delivery service level agreements.
- Ensure all shipping activities comply with international trade laws, customs regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Production, Inventory, Procurement, Demand Planning) and external partners (freight forwarders, customs brokers) to ensure accurate documentation and smooth shipment flow.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for any late or failed deliveries and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in international shipping, with familiarity in air and sea freight, preferably from Vietnam to international destinations.
- Import/Export Regulations Knowledge: Understanding of customs procedures, import/export taxes, and related shipping procedures.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English (both written and spoken) is a must, as the company operates in an international environment.
- Technical & Management Skills:
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with internal teams, shipping partners, and customers. Ability to negotiate and resolve arising issues efficiently.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to handle unexpected situations, such as damaged goods, shipping issues, or urgent customer requirements.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, customers, and external vendors.
- Analysis and Reporting: Ability to use data analysis tools to make decisions and optimize shipping processes (e.g., Microsoft Excel, logistics management software).
- Personality: Proactive, flexible, able to work independently, and under pressure.
