About the role
We are seeking a candidate for the position of Production Engineer, responsible for overseeing the process from file reception and sample development to result evaluation. The core responsibility of this role is to ensure that both files and samples meet the correct production technical standards and design requirements before proceeding to the mass production stage.
Accountabilities
- Technical & Process: Evaluate, adjust, and develop product structures to ensure compatibility with mass production processes. Control detailed product information (COND) as well as the quality of sample products, sample files, and molds to prevent impacts on production.
- Technical Quality Control: Develop a product quality requirement sheet, including detailed specifications regarding aesthetics and manufacturability. Analyze sewing defects, identify root causes, and propose corrective solutions.
- Improvement & Optimization: Receive improvement requests for structure, technical aspects, and product quality from Production, and use them to develop better products with lower risk, reduced production time and cost, while maintaining product aesthetics.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with relevant departments when support is needed. Participate in technical meetings and production review meetings as required.
- Direct Prototyping: Create physical product samples at the final stage to prepare for mass production.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Technical majors or related fields.
- 1–3 years of experience working in a garment production factory.
- Create physical samples for products at the final stage before mass production. Possess experience in quality control.
- Experience in adjusting design files and patterns, or the ability to use relevant design software.
- Deep understanding of sample development processes and quality control for sewing and embroidery.
- Strong skills in quality assessment and technical evaluation.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams, suppliers, and the production department.
- Basic knowledge of design-related software.
- Highly meticulous, proactive, and possesses a continuous improvement mindset.
