Goal

We’re building an AI and computer vision platform to elevate every front-line doctor to visually assess skin conditions as well as a dermatologist.

LuminDx is an app developed with leading dermatologists to help primary care physicians understand their patient’s skin concerns and then provide them with the options for care. Our cutting-edge tool uses artificial intelligence and works with just a photo and answers to a few basic questions to provide results instantly. LuminDx was founded in 2017 and is based in Boston.

Job Description

LuminDx is combining three unique areas of expertise: artificial intelligence, medical care, and digital marketing. We are looking for business development person to join our collaborative team. This job requires working closely with the CEO to build partnerships with dermatologists and leading clinical experts to enable the continuous improvement of the software. A strong candidate will desire to work on a product with significant impact, be able to work with people within healthcare, and have experience working with doctors, and be an excellent communicator.

In a typical week, you may

• Research high priority doctors and healthcare system partnership potentials who could provide value towards achieving company goals • Initiate getting introductions and setting up conversations with new partnership potentials • Meet with 10+ physicians • Drive agreements with individuals and institutions for partnership that is beneficial to both parties • Follow through on existing physician relationships to maintain strong connections • Participate in company strategy and weekly performance review meetings to ensure company direction and goal achievement • All hands on deck - it’s a startup, so you’ll often need to do whatever needs to get done to move things forward for the company

Qualifications and Characteristics

• Strong emotional intelligence and ability to interact and connect with people in the healthcare industry, especially leading doctors • Persistence and grit • Critical thinking with an eye towards always looking to improve processes and the company • Able to manage a wide variety of ongoing tasks and relationships at the same time • Experience working with customers, ideally (although not exclusively) in healthcare systems • Existing connections within healthcare are a plus • Great written, spoken, and visual communication skills • BA/BS degree or higher
