Tech Lead & Platform Architect (Senior)
Mission: Build scalable, secure infrastructure that handles 1,000+ locations without breaking a sweat
Technical Must-Haves
- 5-7+ years building production SaaS platforms
- PostgreSQL expert (partitioning, replication, performance)
- Multi-tenant architecture experience
- RESTful API design at scale
- Security architecture (OAuth2, PCI compliance)
- Node.js or Python mastery
- AWS infrastructure without over-engineering
Leadership Requirements
- Has scaled teams from 5 to 25+
- Can say "no" to unnecessary complexity
- Explains technical decisions in business terms
- Mentors without micromanaging
- Startup experience and startup pace.
Red Flags
- Wants to rewrite everything
- Suggests microservices immediately
- Can't explain ROI of technical decisions
