We have (8) cafe locations in NYC and are passionate about leading the matcha movement in a sustainable, elevated and respectable way. Making matcha is all about the highest level of integrity, recipe mastery, and the energy to showcase your creations. We are looking for caring, emotionally mature, and diligent baristas to join our growing team. Matchaful is committed to offering healthy, plant-based offerings and a serene environment to enjoy a beautiful cup of matcha. We respect the art of Japanese matcha making, while bringing awareness around wellness through our adaptogenic ingredients. As Matchaful’s Matcharista, you'll be responsible for creating our matcha-based wellness items, maintaining a pristine environment, and upholding the highest level of service—all while forging unique connections with our customers. We are a growing company with many opportunities as we expand our cafe footprint this year. 3 days/week minimum commitment; ideally 4–5 days/week at any location. Starting Pay: $16.50/hr + tips (increases to $17 with a Food Protection Certificate obtained within 30 days). About You:- Emotionally mature; care about matcha and respectful preparation; extreme care for the café space; excellent communication and customer connection; pristine organization; superb attention to detail. Requirements:- 1–2+ years hospitality experience; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; wellness background a plus; food handlers permit a plus.
