We are looking for a caring and diligent Store Lead to join our growing team.As Matchaful’s Store Lead, you'll be responsible for leading the daily operations, people, and initiatives at our Prince St. store in Soho. You will help to ensure the highest level of quality for our incredible matcha-based wellness drinks and food, maintaining a pristine environment, and upholding the highest level of service—all while forging unique connections with our staff and our customers.Salary Range $62,400 - $65,400Health benefits available5 days/week commitmentAbout You:- Strong leadership capabilities- Respect for the art of matcha and how it's respectfully made- Extreme care for the café space- Excellent communication skills and customer connection- Pristine level of organization- Incredible attention to detailCore Responsibilities:- Lead matcharista team on store priorities and directives- Attend biweekly manager meeting to review priorities and sales goals- Lead initiatives to maintain a happy and professional workplace environment and ensure staff comply with company dress code and etiquette policies- Develop and continue skill set of matcharistas and communicate performance updates weekly to General Manager- Ensure staff execute menu changes or seasonal items properly- Communicate written warnings when needed- Communicate with the store team via internal chat channels- Manage café scheduling on Square Teams and ensure all shifts are covered- Ensure café is always prepared for a health inspection; maintain an A inspection grade- Streamline drink-making and flow; conduct daily quality checks on all drinks/products- Collect feedback and improve overall experience- Monitor employee time cards in Square- Lead organization of storage areas; conduct weekly/monthly inventory reports in Marketman- Order supplies (e.g., milk) based on Square sales reports- Ensure concentrates are sufficiently prepared; monitor dates of fresh items and labeling- Enforce record keeping of all food waste- Keep retail stocked and maintain a beautiful storefront- Delegate tasks to staff during slow periodsRequired Qualifications:- 2+ years of hospitality leadership experience- Able to lift up to 50 lbs- Wellness background a plus- Food handlers permit a plus
