Mauna is building a vertical SaaS platform for activity and event businesses in Latin America. We help digitize manual operations with tools like a booking system, online payments, and personalized tickets, all integrated into our marketplace to drive growth and visibility.

As Lead Developer, you will shape Mauna’s technical future by leading the development of our new platform (Mauna 2.0). You’ll define architecture, build scalable solutions, and lay the foundation for our engineering team, all while building user-focused features that transform how businesses operate.

• Product Leadership: Lead the product roadmap and development lifecycle to deliver scalable, high-impact features aligned with our user needs and business goals.
• Technical Expertise: Architect and develop core features for Mauna 2.0, using Node.js, React.js/Next.js, and React Native Ensure seamless integration with the existing PHP/MySQL system to support a smooth transition and modular design.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Drive cloud infrastructure adoption (AWS/DigitalOcean) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Cross collaboration: Act as the bridge between engineering, product, third parties and stakeholders to align on the product vision, prioritize development efforts, and deliver on time.

• Full-stack expertise: Node.js, React.js/Next.js, React Native, and strong API development (RESTful).
• Experience scaling systems and managing databases (MySQL currently, possibility to migrate to PostgreSQL).
• Cloud proficiency: CI/CD, AWS Lightsail or DigitalOcean, and Docker.
• Leadership experience: Track record leading development in startups, preferably in the e-commerce or tech sectors.
• Bonus: Payment integrations (Stripe/PayPal) and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus).
