About MediCircle

MediCircle is on a mission to make prescription drugs affordable for every American and financially sustainable for the American healthcare system.

We are an early-stage healthcare technology startup that provides patients with access to affordable prescription drugs by reclaiming, recertifying, and redistributing unused medications. Through MediCircle, patients receive their medications with no out-of-pocket cost, while payers, plan sponsors, and value-based care groups realize significant savings on their drug costs. To date, we have reclaimed over $35 million worth of medications, and have signed contracts with market-leading customers, including national PBMs, payers, and regional health systems.

If our mission resonates with you, and you are energized by directly impacting the lives of millions of patients who can no longer access or afford their medications, we would love to hear from you.

Role Overview

Partner with the COO to design and stand up MediCircle’s operational playbook—turning zero→one workflows into reliable, auditable processes that scale. You’ll architect SOPs, metrics, and tooling, then recruit and coach junior operators to run the machine as we grow. The ideal candidate thrives on variety, moves fast without dropping details, and loves converting ambiguity into tight execution.

Responsibilities

  • Operational foundations: Build core, repeatable flows for medication intake → recertification → fulfillment, payer ops, supplier ops, and customer support; define QA checkpoints.

  • Process & tooling: Document SOPs, playbooks, and checklists; set up dashboards and a weekly ops review; instrument leading indicators and escalation paths.

  • People & leadership: Hire, onboard, and manage junior operators to execute well-defined processes with quality and speed; create strong training plans and effective documentation.

  • Cross-functional glue: Create tight feedback loops with BD, Policy & Compliance, Product/Eng, and Pharmacy leadership; unblock decisions and ensure handoffs work.

  • Compliance by design: Embed HIPAA/PHI handling and state/federal requirements (e.g., DSCSA, state boards of pharmacy) into everyday workflows with Policy & Compliance.

Requirements

  • Builder DNA: You’ve created systems from scratch—SOPs, dashboards, tooling—not just operated them.

  • Execution engine: Elite organization, ruthless prioritization, and reliable follow-through across multiple domains.

  • Structured communication: Clear writer; strong documentation habits; able to make complex processes legible.

  • Metrics-driven: Comfortable defining SLAs/KPIs and using data to improve throughput, quality, and cost.

  • Healthcare context (working knowledge): Familiarity with regulated ops (clinical, pharmacy, payer/PBM, or analogous).

  • Roll-Up-Your-Sleeves Mentality: You prefer to dive deep and understand workflows all the way from the bottom up. You like to jump in and help execute when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pharmacy/redistribution exposure (DSCSA, chain of custody, returns/repackaging) or other regulated logistics.

  • Startup or high-growth experience owning 0→1 and 1→N transitions.

  • Light data/tooling skills (Sheets/SQL basics; workflow tools like Airtable/Zapier; CRM familiarity).

  • People management experience for junior ops roles.
