About Parambil
We're building AI infrastructure for the $50B personal injury legal market.
Every year, millions of injury cases move through the legal system. Attorneys spend weeks reviewing medical records - hundreds of pages per case - to find the critical details that determine case outcomes. It's time-intensive, expensive, and leaves room for human error.
Parambil is solving this with AI.
Our platform transforms medical record review from weeks of manual work into minutes of intelligent analysis. We help attorneys quickly identify key medical facts, surface case-critical details, and build stronger arguments for their clients.
Our traction speaks for itself:
10x revenue and customer growth in the past year
Trusted by leading personal injury law firms and major enterprises (including cruise lines)
$8M raised from top-tier investors including Bling Capital, NVP, and Daybreak ($6M in our most recent round)
Founded by veterans from McKinsey QuantumBlack, Yale/Stanford Medicine, and Emory CS
Advised by post-exit CTOs and AI researchers
We've found product-market fit and we're scaling fast. We're building the future of legal AI from our NYC office near Grand Central with a small, technical, and focused team.
What We're Looking For
We need our first dedicated infrastructure engineer - someone who will own our infrastructure, scale our systems, and ensure we can handle rapid growth without breaking. You'll also jump into TypeScript when needed, whether it's building internal tools, optimizing backend services, or helping ship features during critical moments.
This is a rare opportunity to define infrastructure practices from the ground up at a fast-growing AI startup, working on challenges that span AWS architecture, deployment pipelines, observability, data infrastructure, security, and scalability.
You'll work directly with our CTO and engineering team to build infrastructure that's reliable, secure, and enables the team to move fast.
Core infrastructure experience:
5+ years building and scaling production infrastructure
Deep AWS expertise: EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, load balancing, auto-scaling
Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
Production experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
Solid understanding of networking, security, and system architecture
Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (DataDog, CloudWatch, Grafana, or similar)
Database operations and optimization experience (PostgreSQL preferred)
Full-stack capabilities:
Comfortable writing TypeScript - you can build internal tools, debug backend issues, and contribute to the application when needed
Experience optimizing backend services for performance and reliability
Understanding of modern web architecture: APIs, authentication, job queues, caching
Able to work across the stack when the team needs help shipping
Bonus points for:
Experience with AI/ML infrastructure (GPU instances, model serving, vector databases)
Security experience: SOC 2, HIPAA compliance, secrets management, access controls
Prior startup experience, especially as an early infrastructure hire
Experience in legal tech, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries
Background in SRE or DevOps practices
Your Role
Build and scale infrastructure (70% of time):
Design and implement scalable AWS architecture for our AI platform
Build and maintain deployment pipelines and development workflows
Optimize database performance, implement caching strategies, manage data pipelines
Establish monitoring, alerting, and observability practices - know what's happening before users do
Implement security best practices: IAM policies, network security, encryption, secrets management
Plan for scale: ensure our infrastructure can handle 10x growth without major rewrites
Own reliability: incident response, post-mortems, continuous improvement
Support product development (30% of time):
Write TypeScript to build internal tools, admin dashboards, and automation scripts
Jump in to help ship features during critical launches or tight deadlines
Optimize backend services and APIs for performance
Debug production issues across the full stack
Work with the team to make smart technical decisions that balance speed and sustainability
Scale with us:
Define our infrastructure standards and best practices from scratch
Build systems that enable the engineering team to ship faster and more confidently
Take on expanding scope and potentially build an infrastructure team as we grow
Influence technical strategy and architecture decisions
