Role Description

This is a full-time internship role at MenuData.

The intern will be responsible for utilizing AI to:

• Test and evaluate LLM responses
• Come up with novel analyeses for R
• RAG Pipeline

Data Quality & Curation

• Clean, normalize, and validate large multilingual menu datasets; create data-quality dashboards and anomaly alerts.

Evaluation• Design systematic test suites for our chatbot (unit tests, adversarial prompts, regression tests).

• Build automated evaluation pipelines using OpenAI / Hugging Face APIs, custom rubrics, and human-in-the-loop workflows.

- Analyze failure modes, propose prompt-engineering or fine-tuning fixes, and track model performance over time.

Exploratory Analysis & Novel Insights

• Conduct statistical analyses and visualizations in R (tidyverse) and Python (pandas, Plotly) to surface consumer-insight stories.

• Deliver concise, reproducible reports (R Markdown/Jupyter) for product and client teams.

The role is located in Chattanooga Tennessee.

Qualifications

• Data analysis, AI modeling, and machine learning skills
• Programming skills in Python, R, or other relevant languages
• Experience with data visualization tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Interest in food industry trends and technology
• Pursuing a degree in computer science, data science, or related field
