Welcome to MinersAI

We’re an early-stage startup, based in the US (Boulder, Colorado) and in Belgium.

Our mission is to make AI much more available for geology, with the aim to help discovering the deposits of critical minerals needed for the energy transition while contributing to the security of supply for Europe and the US. This includes making a massive amount of training data available in a structured way, helping exploration company get access to state-of-the-art infrastructure and provide them with the ML tools that only larger teams of data scientists, consultants or larger corporations usually can afford.

We have data science and geology at our core.

We’re a team of entrepreneurs, scientists, geologists, AI and software developers, driven by the willingness to help exploration thrive. Our markets are global, fast-paced and our goals are ambitious. We have great traction and are excited to spend 2025 executing with the customers who just joined us.

We started in July 2023 and have progressed with high energy. We’re VC-backed and have just gotten funded thanks to a series of absolutely awesome climate and industry investors, from both Europe and the US. We want to put together the team that will make a real difference in how data is found, structured, and analyzed across the whole of the mining value chain.

We’re looking for a JavaScript Engineer:

We’re building a platform that will be extremely performant and insanely user-friendly. It’s specifically dedicated to managing and analyzing geological data, of any type and sort.

We’re seeking help in deploying it, and for that are willing to onboard a JavaScript Engineer:

  • We use JavaScript, TypeScript and Next.js as a framework

Work will cover both front and back-end, so some understanding of:

  • API design: RPC and/or Rest(ful) + SQL would make a lot of sense.

Matching the team:

We’re looking for team players who are:

  • willing to learn and coachable
  • creative and problem-solver
  • we only work in English - so extremely comfortable speaking it.
  • at ease with working asynchronously (across timezones)

We’re willing to onboard them as employees, in-house.

Bonus:

  • Liking maps and an appetite for GIS data is a plus
  • An interest in geology (and/or the outdoors 🙂) is a plus
  • Experience with a DB like Elastic Search can be interesting
  • Curious about UX, design, workflow efficiency and accessibility
  • We are super open to different seniority and experience levels - junior or medior welcome
  • We are remote-first and spread across several time zones but would love to see you in the office in Brussels from time to time.
