Position Overview and Key Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring the reliability and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines, developer experience, and deployments to private cloud environments. Provides critical support to developers and data scientists by delivering the tools and infrastructure needed to develop complex AI models, manage deployments, and maintain cybersecurity standards. Ensures alignment between internal CI/CD environments and customer deployment environments.
Key Qualifications
- Own and optimize GitHub Actions workflows with parallel execution and comprehensive testing strategies
- Maintain local development environments and ensure parity with GitHub Actions using scripting tools such as Python, Bash, justfiles, or makefiles
- Provide technical guidance and education to developers on platform tools and best practices
- Design and implement multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, and Azure) using Terraform and Kubernetes
- Manage complex integrations with machine learning APIs and services
- Maintain and upgrade secrets management, service mesh, and networking architecture across cloud providers
- Deploy and configure observability platforms using OpenTelemetry (OTel)
- Correlate machine learning and LLM metrics with traditional application observability
- Implement security controls aligned with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR requirements
- Design asset-based permissions and access control systems
- Maintain audit trails and documentation for regulated deployments
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, management information systems or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, full-stack development, DevOps, or SRE roles
- Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS required, GCP/Azure a plus)
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform strongly preferred)
- Python with type hints for tooling and automation
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
- Solid understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong grasp of networking, security, and secrets management
Useful Experience
- Experience with regulated industries (pharmaceutical, medical device, finance)
- Background with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Observability platform experience using OTel (Prometheus, Grafana, or modern alternatives)
- Interest in modern development tools (uv, mise, devpod, justfiles)
- Experience with LLM, vision, and other machine learning frameworks
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing or quality systems
- Exposure to Rust, uv, justfile, or other cutting-edge platform tools

- Own development environments that ensure every developer is highly productive
- Maintain high uptime of CI/CD pipelines, ensuring code can always be delivered to test environments
- Ensure customer environments and internal environments are closely aligned to prevent deployment failures
- Communicate actively about tasks, dependencies, and required work from other developers
