Moduly was founded in 2019 in Montreal, Canada, with the mission of empowering the energy market by making it affordable, smarter, cleaner and by centralizing energy activities. Moduly is a smart energy solution behind the meter with an integration of a battery storage, IoT control, AI learning process that helps residential and commercial users to reduce their energy consumption, peak demand, carbon footprint and an energy backup for power outages. 

POSITION OBJECTIVE

Moduly is currently looking to hire a Full-stack python IoT developer who will lead and focus on our technology development and deployment, through different customers segmentation. 

Also, as a full-stack developer, you will be responsible for building a solution that will help optimize energy consumption and build a dashboard for the users. We are looking for someone who will support Moduly’s team efforts to be an integral member of the development and execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designing and developing integrations related to systems, IoT, systems monitoring and consumption tracking.
• Testing and validating integrations.
• Designing and developing REST APIs.
• Use tools to document and manage APIs.
• Introduce automation tools and Continuous Integration.
• Build, test, operate and maintain full-stack software solutions (That include front-end, back-end, integration, database, IoT, etc)
• Be part of software design, architecture discussion, and code reviews
• Work closely with our product team

QUALIFICATIONS

• 7 years of experience working in a team
• Experience with IoT protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, TCP, UDP, etc.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as pytest, unittest, etc.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, etc.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, etc.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with infrastructure as code.
• Experience with microservices, distributed systems and cloud computing.
• Experience with IoT devices, sensors and platforms.
• Experience with ESP32, Raspberry Pi, Raspberry Pi, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical area.
• Experience and/or knowledge about machine learning using PyTorch and Keras
