Registered Dietitian – Part-Time, Remote, 1099 About Mother of Fact Mother of Fact is a telehealth service focused on providing Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for women identified with at-risk pregnancies. The team of registered dietitians at Mother of Fact can provide hospitals and OBGYN practices an experienced and trusted team to provide dietary advice and counseling in order to reduce issues that impact the mother and the baby that can be addressed through better dietary habits and monitoring. About the Role We’re looking for a compassionate, patient-focused Registered Dietitian to provide high-quality virtual MNT for pregnant and postpartum patients. This role is dedicated to direct clinical care: delivering individualized counseling, documenting efficiently, collaborating with care teams, and supporting patients with practical, culturally responsive nutrition guidance. This position is ideal for an RD who loves one-on-one care, thrives in a virtual clinical environment, and wants to make a meaningful impact on maternal health outcomes within a supportive, mission-driven team. Mother of Fact is 100% virtual. This role is part-time, which means this position is expected to work up to 20 hours per week. What You’ll Do (Essential Functions) Direct Patient Care (Telehealth): Provide individualized MNT for prenatal and postpartum patients, including high-risk conditions (e.g., GDM, hypertensive disorders, anemia); set goals, follow up, and adjust plans. Maintain a patient-centered, culturally responsive counseling style that supports diverse backgrounds and barriers to care. Education & Care Planning: Deliver practical, culturally responsive counseling; develop and share patient-facing resources, intake guidance, and behavior strategies aligned with evidence-based standards. Offer clear, accessible nutrition guidance tailored to each patient’s needs and goals. Documentation & Compliance: Chart accurately and on time in Healthie/EHR; meet payer and partner requirements; follow HIPAA and state regulatory standards. Care Coordination: Communicate with referring providers and the MoF care team; escalate clinical concerns promptly; contribute to seamless patient handoffs and continuity of care. Outcomes & Quality: Track patient progress (e.g., engagement, adherence, clinical markers where available); support efforts to improve activation, retention, and overall patient experience through thoughtful, evidence-based support. Workflow Improvement: Provide feedback on tools, templates, and SOPs; help test and refine processes that make RD work simpler, more efficient, and more impactful. Who You Are Patient-centered communicator who builds trust quickly and meets patients where they are. Evidence-based and pragmatic—you translate guidelines into doable steps that fit real lives. Organized & timely with documentation, follow-ups, and outcomes tracking. Tech-comfortable (telehealth platforms, EHRs, calendars, spreadsheets) and eager to learn. Collaborative & coachable—open to feedback and continuous improvement. Equity-minded—skilled at supporting patients from diverse backgrounds and with varied barriers to care. Nice To Have Maternal/OB experience (GDM, HTN, lactation nutrition, weight gain guidance, anemia). Healthie (or similar EHR) experience and familiarity with HIPAA workflows. Group education, webinars, or content creation experience. Clinical fluency in Spanish (speaking, reading, writing) or another second language. Skills Clear, empathetic written and verbal communication. Strong counseling skills (motivational interviewing/behavior change). Time management across multiple patients/sites; reliable follow-through. Data accuracy in charting and basic spreadsheet comfort (Google Sheets). Ability to follow SOPs—and suggest smart improvements.
