Neopenda PBC
Location: Kenya preferred, Africa required
Start Date: July 2026
Type: Full-time
Reports To: Head of Growth
Direct Reports: Research Coordinators on a Project-Basis
In hospitals across Sub-Saharan Africa, nurses are doing extraordinary work with limited tools.
A single pulse oximeter shared across an entire ward. Manual vital sign checks between
competing demands. The dedication is there, what's missing is the infrastructure to match it.
That's where Neopenda comes in.
We built neoGuard, a wearable vital signs monitor purpose-built for the realities of healthcare
in emerging markets. It continuously tracks pulse rate, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate, and
temperature, and gives nurses real-time visibility across an entire ward from a single
dashboard. It works through power outages. It requires no consumables. And it was co- designed with the healthcare workers who use it every day.
We are CE Mark certified, ISO 13485 compliant, and our technology is actively monitoring
patients across 50+ hospitals in Kenya and beyond, with over 150,000 hours of continuous
monitoring delivered to date. We’ve been recognized by organizations like WHO, Grand
Challenges Canada, and MIT Solve.
Neopenda is a small team with outsized ambition. We operate across the U.S., Kenya, and
Nigeria. We are scaling commercially, expanding into new markets, and hiring across multiple
roles.
At Neopenda, we are building technologies that strengthen health systems in emerging
markets, starting with neonatal care. As we scale, generating strong clinical and real-world
evidence is critical to demonstrating impact, informing product development, and supporting
adoption across facilities, governments, and partners.
We are seeking a Medical Research Officer to lead clinical and outcomes research efforts
across both formal clinical trials and real-world product use. This role goes beyond traditional
research coordination, it is a strategic and execution-oriented role that sits at the intersection
of clinical research, data analysis, product development, and go-to-market.

We’ve been recognized by Grand Challenges Canada, Georgia Tech’s 40 Under 40, the WHO
Compendium of Innovative Health Technologies, and MIT Solve. But what drives us isn’t the
recognition, it’s the nurses, the families, and the patients counting on what we build.
